The City Council voted unanimously to raise fees for city services at Tuesday night's council meeting.

Fees for everything from building permits to business licenses to animal control services to water meter installation were raised.

The city's finance director, Josh Betta, said at the meeting that the fee raises were designed to ensure that the city was breaking even on the costs of its services.

Betta added that the changes would bring in about $90,000 for the remainder of the 2008 year, and more for 2009, the first full year with the new charges.

The city is facing a $1.6 million budget shortfall for next year's budget, and the fees will go towards offsetting that defecit, said Betta.

WOW! no one even wants to give him until tomorrow.

Just goes to show you that all is still in the blood sport of the :special five" city council nerds.

After investigating a comment by another poster, yes the Harrold web page - public comment space was closed for a couple days until enough safe guards were installed to protect the sanity of the other poster's.

It seems a person well known to Glendora was posting the same old boring images over and over again! In searching out who this person was, a reference to history told the story. This man who has a long white beard and long white hair who has in the past gestured with one finger sticking straight up in the air, spoke with foul language in public gatherings to men and ladies alike.

This is the reason these web pages were down for cleaning and repairs.

It seems Big Bob was the cause of the shut down at the harrold blob. He is forced to post under different names. He is talking to himself using about 4-5 different names.

What has gotten under the skins of these posters lately?

Might it be that fact that the voters, when they are allowed to vote don't always mimic the LIP service these political hack who call themselves council person's are all wet and in reality are just dummies for the developers?

Look at this mess our Current City Council got ALL of Glendora, California in to, P.S. John Harrold warned City Hall and the City Council not to try this method of with holding money from L.A. County.

So our very smart ones didn't listen and now this is what we have to look forward too.

Glendora lost yet another LAWSUIT, but this one had very BIG implications for each and every resident living or doing business in Glendora.
