Phoenix mayor asks FBI to check sheriff

Get Rid of the Mayor, Vote her out ASAP WAY TO LIBERAL FOR MARICOPa COUNTY AND MOST OF ARIZONA. Finally somebody shows some initiative in dealing with the illegals that are invading us and the mayor wants it stopped. If you are in this country illegally you have no rights and it isn't against the law to enforce our immigration laws. It is time to start throwing the liberal politicians out of office and voting for people that will enforce this country's laws.

Sheriff Joe's "crackdown" is political, too. You can bet your bippy that as soon as another issue comes up that that causes the masses to complain without thinking, the high sheriff (and almost every other politician) will be all over it and the immigration issue will be all but forgotten.

What is so wrong with just setting up road blocks as a means of checking driver’s licenses? If someone is driving without one arrest them, then check immigration status if he speaks with an accent of any kind or can't speak English. If illegal put him in tent city give hime pink undies and green meat sandwiches and deport.

Leave Joe alone.

There was not a whole lot Joe could do before (287g? right numbers?)went through. Once it did he, as should have every law inforcement dept. in the U.S., has had his deputies start taking the classes through ICE.
They have monitored Joe's actions first hand and say he does everything by the book. So where is the problem? Why don't you ask why is the Democratic Mayor still complaining? The Mayor certainly isn't speaking for the vast majority of citizens in his city. So just who is he pandering to with his grandstanding?
Joe has done his job through 4 elections with the same zeal he is showing with this. Immigration now is just another part of his job description. Leave him alone, let him do his job.

They need to run that Mayor out of town. He's doing exactly the job he's supposed to, that's what the illegal lovers don't want. Well, Sheriff Joe......you are more than welcome to come down to California. We sure could use you.

No. Check the immigration status of everyone, with or without an accent, whether they are speaking English or Spanish or Pig Latin, it shouldn't matter.
