This has been the greatest experience. My family and friends have been watching since the day the baby hatched! Watching him from day to day is just amazing. Can't wait to see him fly away. Him? Her? How do we know? Thank you everyone who has been involved with this project and I hope you do it again next year! THANK YOU!!

Hasn't this been fun? I have also watched since he was a baby, well, new born lol. For about one week to 10 days the camera was offline and when it came back we could not believe how much he'd grown in that short amount of time. I have since found other web cams of baby eagles, but this is by far the best. Just wanted to let you know how much I agree with your post :)

I saw him last evening sitting on the perch. Did he fly away this morning?

I watched him pretty much all day yesterday. When I signed on this morning, he was gone <gasp> our baby < I named him Liberty lol> flew away...About 11:00 my time , 10:00 Ok time I think, Mom came back, looked shocked and had a fish..she waited an hour looking around her and finally flew off herself. I am anxiously waiting to see him/her lol..

I wish someone would explain to us if he's old enough to fly away today, or if something else might have happened? The camera keeps panning the water, and mom brought lunch back but he wasn't there! I hope he's ok and we can find out what is going on??

I saw an earlier story on newson6.com that said the baby flew out of the nest. Here's the link:

Ok news flash... they found him :) whewwwwwwwww God, I can't believe I have stressed out so much over him today <BG>. But earlier I saw them panning and then saw someone get out of the car on the road, then there were three people, they started waving to the camera. So,I figured then, it was someone who was on the Eagle project. Shortly later they started to focus on a tree, and there he is...It is blurry from my computer, but you can clearly see him . I wonder if he'll get brave enough to fly home tonight? I have to say I am a addict when it comes to watching him, and he struggled just days ago to get on his perch lol, and I was shocked to sign on today and see that he had flown the coop lol, so I will go to bed tonight and sleep well knowing he is safe :)

What happened? The nest is gone and the other camera appears to have fallen into some trees or something. Did the wind get to them? Is the baby okay?

Mom AND baby are both in the same tree now. I have been watching for a while now, neither moves much, but they are both in the tree :)Baby is on the lower branch and mom is on the other side of the tree about 1/2 way up.

Looks like baby found her way back to the nest this morning. Mom and Dad have been bringing food to the nest for the last couple of days, but baby has not been there to eat it. Now, hopefully, with baby at the nest, Mom and Dad will bring more food. So glad to see she is well.

Mom brought lunch and is hanging around the nest to make sure her little girl eats it. It is very reassuring to see that baby knows to come back to the nest for food.

The eaglet sure found a pretty home to stay in.
That is a lovely tree. I wish I had the tree and the eaglet in my yard.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Aries

Christmas Eve finds you happy and eager to get the most out of the day. You're in a rather sentimental mood, so if you've got time you'll relish the chance to watch a favourite film, especially if it means you've got to get out the hankies. A friend's kindness or sensitivity will delight you - and make you wonder how you can reciprocate.
