Every commissioner has my vote too come the next election ...that is, a vote against them.

Here's an idea representatives.. how about firing persons whose position is no longer necessary due to cuting costs due to the bloated government spending.

May Yates "I will very happily pay $3 more to know that I can use the tap water and not have to use bottled water, which would be far more expensive,"

After we GET RID OF YOU!!! The water will be safer and cost less!!

To even SUGGEST !!! That if you do not get your inflated SALES PRICE!! That we would need to purchase BOTTLED WATER.

WHAT KIND OF A COMMENT IS THIS?

Why are we having to pay more because the utility is getting fewer 'connection fees'? Shouldn't those fees be offsetting the cost of 'new connections', not 'ongoing service'?

Tax and spend, tax and spend....

So let me get this straight!!
I have been made to conserve water due to the drought, and now will be made to pay a higher fee because the water dept. did not make as much money as they thought they should. Your government agency at work for the good of the people. Ha Ha

At voting time remember to vote to re-elect Bob Kanjian. He is the only one with common sense. Vote out the rest.

The South Florida Water Management District is the one that lowered Lake O "due to hurricane" water level concerns.

Never happened and now due to their poor business decisions, we have to make up the difference. Bad management, poor support for the residents by commissioners.

Wish I could screw up in my business and pass the blame and charges to someone else.

And enough with the growth has slowed excuse. There are more residents in this county an ever in its history.

Divide operating expenses by a high number and you still get a lower number. Rate should be no higher than current levels. If anything, less. Same to FPL and the property tax collector.

Yes it costs more to provide service to more people, but incremental cost is much smaller.

This state, county, local governments have gotten completely out of control and the political leaders are doing nothing to stop it. Truly continues to amaze me.

Maybe if you AZZHOLES at SFWMD quit draining LAKE O, then we would have never had the "water shortage" in the first place. STUCK ON STUPID

So let me get this straight...first huge water restrictions are imposed due to the lack of rain (read: we let too much water out of Lake O), now people have to pay a surcharge because they followed the rules and saved water like they were asked to do.

It makes absolutely no sense to me what they heck these people think they're doing...I thought people got punished for doing the "wrong" thing...not the "right" thing.

Dumb!

I love this..."we request you use less water" Uh-oh "now we need to charge more to make for the less water you are using" next, when everyone switches to hybrids the gas will still go up because the CEO's will need to recoup the lost profits. Just wait and see. The f****** country is the new Roman Empire, and we will all have front row seats for its fall. RICH and POOR alike!!!

Its all bull crap.......use less water and pay more for it. These guys need to learn how a real business works. If you can't make $$$ you can't just charge more in real life.

So if I conserve water, I get to pay more for it ? What kind of crap is this! Seems like the same thing that happens with gas. Don't buy as much and the gov't increases the taxes to make up any loss they incur. Screwed again by the politicians

They wanted us to water less we do and now they increase rates. It wasn't our fault the morons drained the lake. On our bill now is a customer account charge for about 3.00. What the heck is that for. Plus I have automatic bill pay and the morons still send me an envelope. They only read the meater 6 times a year, the other 6 are estimates. Most of us can not even feed our families now with gas and food prices. Many employed people are see very small raises. Have a heart. Soo more people will be moving out of state.
