Why does it deserve mentioning she was the first woman mayor 20 years ago. Anyways the prices on the shelves and at the pump are continually going up. So municipal/union employees should get less buying power for their wages year after year.

That's not the point of the story, she wants to lower taxes for tax payers, and that's a good thing.
I think she's right, but the state needs to start FIRING the negligent & unethical state & municipal workers who get great salaries & pensions & cost the taxpayers a fortune!

There's going to be a whole slew of people who will move out of the state of Connecticut and never think to return if this situation continues, trust me!
There's so many people who can barely make ends meet who work for the private sectors, if they have jobs at all, and get treated SO badly by state & municipal workers.

Ever go to the DMV? Wow, you want to talk about rude, unhelpful state employees? Or some of the local post offices too, but those would be federal workers, wouldn't they be?

I not sure that Malloy should have allowed NO wiggle room for the unions though. He needs to reduce the pay checks for the lousy cops in our state!
Too many unethical supposedly "public servants" who don't care about the public's welfare to start with!

Remember that cop who ran over that 15 year old boy in Windsor Locks when he was riding his bike at night? That cop was drunk as hell, but yet, he's still out on bail!

Daily Horoscope for May 20

Aries

As the Sun cruises into chatty Gemini, you are likely to get involved in a spirited discussion in which you can explain your beliefs and values to other people. Not only will this help you to clarify what you think, it will also give others a useful insight into what really matters to you. On a more mundane note, this is a good day to return something faulty to a shop because you'll be able to put your case well.
