Messianic Jews say they are persecuted in Israel

Nobody said it was right. Apparently a few sorely offended people thought they could do criminal violence to others. They should be arrested, tried and probably jailed.

However, the story is also about the illegal harrassment by evangelical Christians.

Similarly, Mr. Sadecki, your weird use of the phrase 'chosen people' indicates the level of your ignorance of Judaism.

Jewish people do not want to be annoyed by Muslims, Christians or anyone else selling their triumphalist religions. Please respect those wishes.

Yes, it can be offensive, aggravating and impolite; but we also shouldn't be PREVENTING others from doing it.

In this country, there is constitutional right to free speech - as long as it's done peacefully. And it is also my right to ignore proselytizers - and if they knock on my door - to politely tell them that I'm not interested.

I wouldn't like it if some Christian group tried to..say...shut down the Lubavitcher's Mitzvah Campaigns - which technically involves Orthodox Jews trying to get less-observant Jews to take part in certain Orthodoz Jewish pratices.

Israel is being attacked from every possible angle - and this is an evil scenario, embellished with a false saving grace. There should be one small place on the planet where jews can be free to pursue their own beliefs, and this must be respected by insecure christians and muslims, who have a problem respecting Jews as Jews, and Israel as Israel.

Pushing Jews into the sea, in the name of the NT or Quran, is the same as any other form of genicide. Have the jews not paid a great price to remain Jews? Christianity is a religion that sprung from the schism in Judaism after the followers of Jesus of Nazareth began to say He was the Messiah. But it wasn't until the 4th Century when Rome accepted Christianity as a religion that the final separation was made.
Are the Messianic Jews Christians? Are they followers of the Church in Rome or one of the many Protestant sects? Why are they not like the Jews of the 1st Century who accept Jesus as the Messiah? Those Jews were not Christians, they were Jews who practiced Judaism.
Oh this religion stuff just makes people angry, is it all worth the fighting?

Correct. Messianic Jews do not follow the pagan customs of rome but follow the Torah, as Jesus commanded.

How often do proselytizers have to "spread their word" to the same people over and over? I've already heard what they have to say and I'm still not interested.
What I find most annoying about Messianic Jews, is not that they practice Jewish customs (after all, Jesus did), but that they call themselves Jews. Anyone who believes in the divinity of Jesus is no longer a Jew by definition.

I am Jewish. I happen to have tried Christianity. I have not forsaken my own heritage.I thought the Christians were very nice, but annoying.

You might be right, but you cannot rule out the possibility that someone or a group of the Jewish faith targeted that family because they are Messianic Jews. There are some Israelis [groups] who are prone to violence, and we are seeing it on the news now.

You clearly have not read my previous posts, and no I dont need to learn how to spell. I am my own God and this is my realm and I can spell any way I please. I never once claimed to be the real GOD. I am my own God. I happen to believe muslims are the most war like and violent people ever to come out of man expecially to women. Muhammad stated he thought most women were evil and in a vision he saw most of them in hell. Muslims are most apt to use bombs. Not that jews wouldnt, but muslims do as a matter of practice. Christianity has thrown Judaism out. Jesus taught we must observe the Torah, not the paganized pretend christian 'holydays'.
