I'm a republican who believes in a smaller government. I don't believe the government has a role to play in telling people who they can love. That's about as stupid as the person who replied to my post assuming I was a democrat. I've had encounters with racists and bigots in the past and they've all proven to be gross and uneducated. The Roman Catholic Church doesn't consider a gay or lesbian orientation to be inherently sinful because it is not a choice and morality presumes the freedom to choose according to the National Conference of Catholic Bishops Committee on Marriage and Family. Look it up.
