Why? That is not the question here... and why do you want to select a certain demographic to poll? here's a better idea, maybe it should be:

1: I am currently a law enforcement official
2: I am a friend or family member of a law enforcement official
3: I didn't graduate high school
4: I have no concept of what the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are, and I take my freedoms and rights for granted therefore I deserve none.
5: I understand what it means to be an American citizen and the freedoms protected by that citizenship and I disagree with the brutal and illegal actions of men that have sworn to uphold the law and then decide they are "above it"....

Also I'm not picking the people I poll, so everyone can have teir fair say in this matter. Hell, Chris Eaton himself can vote on this poll if he wants... the whole law enforcement community can vote on it for all I care... But it won't make a difference. Regardless of past histoy, most people are beginning to realize that these guys deserve whatever they get for what they did...

2-Not on a first name basic with any law enforcement in any state.

4-Whatever happened to"innocent until proven guilty"?
5-Charges even Federal does not mean a person is guilty only charged.

You really need too know the history of stuff before you bad mouth people!! I happen to know every person involved in this matter. Went to school with BRS. Every time he gets in trouble his first reaction is too LIE and blame someone else.he stays in trouble. If he was beat so bad while in handcuffs then the Dailey Times must have got some really bad angles in those pictures they took after his arrest.Aarron Bennett is a former honer guard marine who was stationed at camp David, Eric Guffey is a preacher for cryin out loud, and a decorated police officer. Chris Eaton has done more for his community then any other Sherrif has ever done.you think they will do it again, well it's never happened before. Every criminal ever arrested thinks they are innocent. When these guys risk their live to arrest them they come up with a get rich scheme that some lawyer is trying to make their name on. Its ok to pull a knife on deputy's I guess they should have spanked his drug ridden hands, wrapped him in bubble wrap, and then took him to jail. These men are honest hard working men with kids, wives, and everything is put on the line for them every nite! When they leave for work they may not come home. There is a reason he didn't kill anyone!! They stopped him.if he would have hit you on the road or your friends and family I guess the police would still get the blame. Shame on you Barren County.

Stinnet has had his trial. Now it's time for the rest of those sorry SOBs. They can explain what good, upstanding citizens they are at their sentencing.

Also, Stinnett admitted his wrongdoing when he pled guilty in court! The argument isn't whether Stinnett is innocent, he's already said he did whatever he did... the fact that the Sheriff and friends put him on trial and convicted, then sentenced him by beating him is what is wrong here, people... these supporters have been trying to twist it around to make you think this is about Eaton trying to fight meth since day one! Anybody with a damn badge is supposed to be fighting meth, Eaton isn't Superman or MethBuster anymore than the rest of the people in law enforcement who are HONEST and respect people's rights, no matter what they've done! This isn't Meth vs. Chris Eaton and nobody is saying Stinnett was being an innocent little angel!!! Regardless of whether Stinnett had a meth lab or ten dead bodies in the back of that van, law enforcement overstepped their boundaries and blatantly violated a man's civil rights(who was SUPPOSED to be presumed guilty until proven innocent, not beaten half to death)... If they had just done their damn jobs and handcuffed him then took him to jail he would have still pled guilty and received the same 20 year sentence he did. But instead the Sheriff and gang did what they did and now Stinnett wants them to pay for their crimes just like he's paying for his... and I can't blame him. They chased O.J. Simpson all over half of California for an alleged double homicide and they didn't beat him when they caught him... but by these Eaton supporters logic he should have been shot down with a hail of bullets as soon as he stepped out. If you're angry with anybody it should be Eaton, he knew what the law was an choose to ignore it.

Dang did Stevie arrest you? He arrested me and I have a lot of respect for him. I was guilty and even tried to lie about it but now that it is all said and done, Steve Runyon did his job and that was it. Now that he won't lie for Mr Eaton you are calling him names. Sounds to me like he got you too and you just can't get over it. And another thing, Where do you get off saying he come from trash? Where is your proof? What makes him come from trash? I knew his family and his parents was good people. You really Don't know what your talking about.

I've had dealings with Steve a couple of times. Once a dui driver ran into my yard and the other was a professional matter. While I don't know him personally, he seems like a straight up person.

Should have shot the SOB. Somehow we have to stop the meth heads.

No the job was not done properly and with excessive force and police brutality! How great of a person he supposedly is, has nothing to do with what he did. Especially lying to the FBI and trying to cover up the whole damn situation! If he's such a great individual then why did he lie to the FBI??? There good honest hard working individuals that make the wrong decision everyday and they have to pay the price for their actions! Why is Eaton any different than Stinnett? How did the discussion about the sheriff to doctors writing prescriptions for addictive drugs for Medicaid patients.Just because a person is low income does not mean they are drug addicts or get drugs to sell.Do you ever think if the source of home grown meth is removed then there would be a n even bigger market for meth from south of the border and the source of even more crime.Addicts will get their fix from where they can find it.

I agree and if you think about it, it would mean that people have to go to a doctor to get the prescription if nothing else worked and that would cause a increase in Medicaid costs in turn putting the burden on the tax payers of the state. If other things work just as well, why not stop production of those medicines all together.

Now back to Sheriff Eaton. If he done what he is accused of then I do think he should step down and let the town get on with business. If he didn't then I think he is doing the right thing. I am not the one that is to judge him on weather he is guilty or not. Maybe he did or maybe he didn't, I will leave it up to the justice system to decide that and that isn't always right either.

Eaton should have just told the truth to the FBI and took his 6 months in prison (slap on the wrist)... Now he's dug a massive grave for him and his "friends" that lied for him too.
