There is a road off of 1297 to the right called Barrick Road I think. My dad said that he and his brothers used to go to that cave each summer when they were kids. There is some Mutters that live out there, you might be able to get some info from them. May be on their land.

Piercy Cave is easier to get to by going to the crossroads past summer shade, taking a right like you're headed to T-Ville, and then Apple Grove Road is about a mile on the right. I think the cave is off a gravel road about 4-5 miles on the right. Awesome cave but horseman is right---slicker than snot!

I can't believe no one has mentioned the cave that runs smack dab under Glasgow!

I've been all through that one. It comes out in the basement of the last house on N. Race Street up on the hill on the right going towards the square. It was used by the Underground RR to help slaves. There is also a cave at Ritter's Mill near Temple Hill.

The one under Glasgow comes out several places throughout that side of town. I've been in several of the caves around here with other people that had the owner's permission, but I forgot where most of them were now. We went in a cave once somewhere where we HAD the owner's permission, but some other crazy old guy that lived next to it came and pulled a gun on us! He accused us of trying to destroy the cave like "the teenagers last week". It was obvious we were there to explore and not trash the place. Fun times.

I can't remember exactly. I bet if you go to the gas station in Summer Shade, somebody would be able to help you out. I think the new owners are a little more friendly and they would probably let you check it out.

if not mistaken, it is underneath the old Spotswood Home on N. Race St. I believe that's the place on the corner of Ford St. and N. Race St. that is under renovation.

on the street dept property far left corner looks like a round concrete drain form go in it and it opens up into a cave once inside feel ontop of the concrete form thers an old blue flashlight "big square battery type" you can exit
into the property north of the jail carefull last time i was in there some rock had fallen. you can crawl under the fence near the jail it takes you to the left corner where the opening is.
