Yeah, I remember when I was a kid and my parents would say, "because I say so", I trusted them. That's the reason I trust Jesus Christ.......because he said so. Isn't it amazing how much revolves around the Bible and people don't know it. Keep your eyes on Israel! CHEERS! The Bible is a great work of literature. It contains much information of value. But what proof are you refering to? Are you claiming there is proof of all the Bible or proof just of parts. So far science has found no evidence to support a worldwide flood. Do you believe that story from the Bible? What about the dichotomy in the creation story in Genesis? You realize that wheterh Biblical stories are factual or allegory, it doesn't weaken Christianity.

I might mention that it is a little presumptive of you to think that questioning the reality of certain parts of the Bible means you don't believe. It might. It might not. I realize for someone that only sees black and white, that any questioner is an unbeliever. I make this conclusion based on numerous posts you have made.

Isn't it amazing how much revolves around the Bible and people don't know it. Keep your eyes on Israel!... "Study the apologetics"? You mean people who apologize for their religion, like you do? Why should we trust you? Are you saying that one also has to study writings other than the Bible to "find there is more proof that the Bible is true than not true"? So you are admitting that portions of the Bible are not true, then? One more time: There are NO contemporaneous historical writings discussing Jesus. None. The first historian to discuss Jesus was a Jewish historian named Titus Flavius Josephus, born around the time of the alleged crucifixion of Jesus. Josephus who discussed Jesus about 70 years after the presumed death of Jesus. Not exactly "contemporaneous." When your parents said, "because I say so," did they ever give you that reason that Santa Claus is real? Do you now think that Santa Claus is real? Might that not also apply to Jesus? Perhaps YOUR life "revolves around the Bible," but the lives of most other people are not so "caught up" with it. "Keep your eyes on Israel" has always been good advice!_8-)

As I said in a prior post / your arguments are circular / you lack support for you POVs / you're irrational. I get it / you blindly believe every word in the Bible. You're blissfully unaware / of his own limitations / your lack of relevant information on Bible / Religion / yet continue posting on these subjects here / that's so sad. I am definitely heart warmed by the posts above. I do not desire to steer people away from their belief system..however...I find it so sad and scary that so many people turn to utter jelly at the thought of questioning that belief system. Only by truly discovering and understanding the opposite view can we further our education on what we do believe. I do not in my core feel this is wrong. I've traveled the road of spirituality for so long I simply feel that there are nuggets of truth in every path. I think history is important. How manuscripts came to be, how stories and tales came about, how our own scientific evidence plays into this and most of all how we as humans looked up into the sky and deep into the earth for answers. The holy Bible is not a new story, nor is it unique. I study and practice Buddhism, Taoism, hermetic traditions, kabbaliam and mostly just on Mondays, I'm an atheist. My mother was Baptist, my father Catholic and I was Christian for many years. Till...I had to hav e more answers than any church was willing to provide.

After reading some of the posts about the Bible I have come to the conclusion that there are few Christians in this world. Yes, I realize that whether the bible stories are factual or allegory has a definite effect on christianity. If it is not factual, it is not Christian. You can't have it both ways. If so, why have it at all? I can't change your mind and you definitely won't change mine. You will never prove the Bible by science, otherwise, why would we have to have faith? You are like standing behind a concrete wall thinking you can see through it. CHEERS!

I respect your thoughts, however, you will only find God in your heart. You will never find all the answers in any church and, actually, not anywhere until the mysteries are revealed to us by God. The Bible tells us that. I wonder.....have you found your answers in any of these other religions? When you look up into the sky and deep into the earth how can you deny there is a God. All these things could not possibly have just happened. I guarantee you that if you get in the right bible study and really study the word of God you will get enough answers that will make denying God seem so foolish to you. CHEERS!

You're not much better than the guys who'd force Islam on all of us / you have about as much chance of being Raptured / as Larry Flynt does. I'm not looking for yet another one of your tired / nonsensical / poorly-supported / "if you don't believe exactly like I do / you don't get it / you're religiously unenlightened" responses. I get it just fine / thanks. Save it / mumble your response to yourself if that's what you need to do / to be you. Keep posting / maybe not everyone here is an agnostic / atheist yet. In fact he is way mroe respectful towards others then anyone I have seen on here, given the way he is constantly attacked by you anti-christ Liberal douchebags. You prove repeatedly that you are nothing but an insecure little assclown without a shred of intelligence. A pathetic little troll.

My post above wasn't directed to you / so in your post immediately above / you're "going around to forums / sticking your nose into others' conversations / and then attacking them." Yet you have a problem when others do that / which would make you a hypocrite / why is it bad when another poster does that / okay when you to do that? You're not very logical / rational / are you? I'd ask you to offer any examples / facts / support that Norton isn't exactly what I said he was above. But you've proven here / you lack the mental discipline / reasoning skills to do that. Keep posting / there could still be an undecided voter / who needs to read one of your angry / clueless / fringy / nutty / uber CON posts / to decide to vote for anybody but your CON handlers. LOL

You people that don't believe in the Rapture (catching away) are in for a great surprise. I know you don't believe it but it is true. People have a job, house, car and buy anything they want and they think that is all there is. FOOLS! I am not intolerant to other religions......I just hate to see people end up in Hell because they are too hard-headed to find out the truth. I really care about people and it makes me sad to see what is happening in this world. Remember....life is eternal. You choose....heaven or hell. CHEERS!

Interesting, does this entire Healthcare debate fundamentally come down to disputes of religion? I'm not going back to the beginning of this post and read all the comments but going back through the last few pages this is where it ended up.
