My prayers are going out to the families who lost loved ones in this tragic accident. How sad. Please keep Jesus in your heart, he will get you through this. I just lost a family member and the hurt is so real, but time heals. May you have comfort during this time.

somebody should take up donations for the family. there is going to b alot of expenses and the one thing these families should not have to worry about at a time like this is money.i was in shock when i found out and i hoped it was just a rumor. then i was deeply saddened for teresa. she has helped me so much and has never done me wrong. my heart breaks for her. my son and hailley are in the same class niether one of my kids wanted to go to school today. i think the school should close for a day-out of honor and respect. but thats just my 2 cents it doesnt mean they will. may god comfort and bless the families. may the community come together out of love and compassion and help them through this.

I could not believe it when i heard what had happened. I only knew one of the individuals, but it is unbelievable that such a tragic accident happened. My thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends. And though I have not lost a child I have recently lost the closest person to me in my life and I must although time does not heal the hurt and pain, with time you find a way to make it through each day a lil better. Live and Let God. May God guide you all through this.

Who was the 31 year old in the Accident? Is there something set up for his family or was he in the same family? Just want to make sure I help them all!

Emergency responders were called out to a bad wreck in the New Madrid County town of Gideon Monday night.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, three people were killed in the crash and another seriously injured.

Killed in the single vehicle crash were: the driver Dylan Cornett, 19, from Gideon, and passengers Hayley Cagle, 15, and Scottie Vires, 31, both from Gideon. Gary Cagle, 14, of Gideon was seriously injured and flown by helicopter to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Gary was later taken to Cardinal Glennon in St. Louis. Gideon Principal Keenan Buchanan says Gary is expected to recover.


The Patrol reports the crash happened at 10:20 Monday night on Main St. in Gideon. According to the crash report, the driver, Dylan Cornett, failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the road. He then hit a ditch, utility pole and large tree.

Gary Cagle, Hayley Cagle, and Scottie Vires are all siblings.

Dylan Cornett just graduated from Gideon High School in May. Hayley Cagle was a sophomore. Gary Cagle is a freshman at the school.

My condolences go out to the Cornett family, they have been in my lives for many yrs, and although I may not know the pain they are going through, my heart is breaking for them all. My prayers are sent to them, especially Jerry, Mike, Jimmy, Jackie,& Rob. Let God lead the way and you will find comfort in one another....Love you all

the visitation is on friday at 5 to 8 in clarkton..and the funeral day will be on saturday at 10:30 i do believe this is all correct...

Dylans visitation is Thursday (tommorow) from 6 to 8 at the landess funeral home in Malden.. And his funeral will be at 2 pm Friday. Not sure where he will be buried. Hayleys will be next week because they are trying to wait to Gary gets home so he can make it to her funeral.

Dylan will be laid to rest in clarkton but, his services will be held in Malden, visitation Thurs 6-8 Funeral Fri at 2.

Does anyone know if Hayley & Dylan will be laid to rest beside one another?

What are the arrangements for Scottie?

I have heard that scottie's visitation is Friday and funeral Saturday at Bradshaw's in Malden just not sure of the times but I'm sure u can call the funeral home to get the times.
