Boycott the Big Named GAS Companies.

The gas prices are to high. When people have to start selling things to just get to work. That is a problem.
WE are all using less. There are just more drivers on the road. So, the high demand is not a good excuse. The companies are making more profit than they can spend in a life time. While we are having to decide to buy gas to go to work or eat!
WE all need to stop supporting the big gas companies. That is the only way they will get the message. If the sells go down or not at all the prices will go down.
And Mr. President you can do more than you are doing about the price of gas.

You seem confused about our capitalist system. You are correct that if sales, or demand, goes down then the price will go down. That is the financial law of supply and demand. You said that there are more drivers on the road. That is also true. Other countries are enjoying modernization and using this resource. But, you then said that demand is no excuse. Demand is the excuse. When many people want what is in limited supply then prices go up. I wish I could get Denver Broncos, or Dallas Coyboy tickets for $10 bucks but that will probably never happen in my lifetime. If you want the government to take over the oil companies then you have a socialist or communist state. These types of systems have lead to the abject poverty of its citizens, just look at the Soviet Union or Cuba as an example. You will have no production and rationing and economic collapse will be the result. Our capitalist system is why we are so wealthy as a nation. We have limited government control over our business. What we should be thinking about is lifestyle change, at least in the short term, until an economical substitute for gasoline is developed.

I think gas prices should be based upon a workers salary and if disabled gas should only be $1.00 a gallon for very low income familes.

I think the rich man or woman should pay what gas cost now yesterday I payed $3.85 a gallon.

Just like a Medicare Insurance card for the disabled should come along a Medicare gas card for the disabled.

I think people have forgot what gas prices were 30 years ago .61 cents a gallon. And in 2007 the price of gas was 1.99 on the high end. Why has there been a major increase in a year? They are in control more than you know already.

Congress has denied petroleum companies access to known oil and gas resources in our own country, which if brought online, would certainly lower the price of gasoline. The government makes much more in taxes on a gallon of gasoline than does the publicly owned oil companies. These senators and congressmen who have caused this problem are now blaming the oil companies for the high prices. They must think we're stupid. Yet people buy into their lies every day.
