It's been many years since I last attended a Hanover Halloween parade. It was OK except I was disappointed that only one high school band carried the American Flag. Two other bands, the Hanover American Legion Lancers and the Southwestern Alumni Band, also carried the American flag. Is there no pride in country in our schools?

And did YOU and OTHERS stand and remove your cover, placing it over your heart, or stand and place your hand over your heart; at EACH and EVERY passing of Old Glory? Didn't think so! School children LEARN from the actions of adults.
Those Guard members that were being honored must have been very tired, from being in full battle dress, weapons locked and loaded, guarding all those chairs along the parade route all day. Then had to attend the parade. This should confuse some of the eightball posters. "Geez, I didn't know that".

Absolutely!! Although I cannot speak for others, anytime that an American flag passes you will see me stand at attention and give proper salute. School children do have to learn from somewhere.; It sure isn't in school.

You may have to take official action of some kind.
