The food was TASTELESS! Next time, take a bottle of Italian Seasoning, there is no flavor to the sauce. We asked for additional bread and we were charged for it. Our pasta was dry, we were charged $1 for 1/2 cup of additional sauce. We should have known...the heavenly smell of true Italian was absent when we arrived. We grew up in an Italian neighborhood, know very well what true Italian food is, and this IS NOT TRUE ITALIAN FOOD. The menu selection is sparse, prices are too high for the quality, and the owner is a jerk and also the cook. Don't waste your time or your money! This is Texas, not New York, fella...adjust.

We followed Carmine from Hutto to Georgetown. DeDe comes from a family of Italian chefs and Joe is of Italian descent, both grew up in New York City. This is the best Italian food we have tasted since we left New York. We have dined there several times and have recommended the place to our friends. They have all tanked us and we will continue to go there to get real Italian food.
Ambience is excellent and the staff is very good. Would recommend it highly.

It's called an opinion Ray. I agree that the service was terrible ... food was ok but nothing to write home about. I have to say I agree with "Disappointed". I guess that means I like nasty mexican food too?

The food is so-so. Some of the prices are outrageous -$4 for ONE slice of pizza and then $2 per topping for a slice (that price for toppings for a pizza I can understand, but for a slice of pizza?). Kind of pricey for for pizza that's not so great. We've been a couple of time and the service was great the first time and not so great the second time. For great pizza in Georgetown, go to Paisanos off of Leander Rd. They are from Sicily and make awesome pizza.

We loved our food - my husband had veal and I had ravioli and both were so flavorful and delicious! Our service was perfect - very attentive waitress! The food is authentic -- we moved here from St. Louis and ate on the Hill often and to our surprise Carmine's is comparable!

We were completely embarrassed tonight when we took another couple to eat at Carmine's. The bread was hard like it had been made early today or maybe yesterday. The prices were higher than we had remembered, the salad was nothing but non-nutritious iceberg lettuce, two bites of tomato, and two tiny carrot slices, which was drowned in dressing, and the entree was nothing to brag about.
This is so unlike the meal we had here when they first opened. What's happened???? We won't be going back.

We ate at Carmine's last night and thought it was great. I had Chicken Marsala, and it was excellent. A fun, family oriented atmosphere. The prices were reasonable, and the servings plentiful. The caprese salad was the best I've had outside of Southern Italy. I plan to host a luncheon there soon. I can't wait to go back.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Virgo

Words are flying around in all directions today, and the conversations will be fast and furious. You might face a lot of distractions and interruptions, or you could get caught up in some rather irritable slanging matches with a certain person. The busier you are, the more fraught you'll become and the more likely to go off the deep end.
