Israeli riot police entered the grounds of Islam's third-holiest shrine yesterday and fired tear-gas and stun grenades to disperse rock-throwing Palestinians who had gathered to prevent Jews from praying at the contested site in Jerusalem's Old City.

Interesting how the site is described only as an Islamic holy site. Based on the description of it as "third holiest" I suspect that the site is in fact the site of the historic Jewish temple, which is to Judaism THE holy site, where their god promised to be accessible to them.
