No please don't close!! That's the best place in all of town to eat! Everytime I come into town, that's where I go. The restaurant is fine inside.. It's clean & that's all that matters. Keep up the good work & AMAZING food! I'll be devastated if Parkers closed!

Have you ever thought Roger , that if you remodel ( the correct way , with the work being done by professionals ), completely scrubbed down ALL of the kitchen aplliances , etc, just gave the place a complete makeover ,with new furnishings, and hired help that you buissness may just be booming ? I know many people that don't come there because it is so run down and i don't know if it's clean but everything being so run down makes it look bad as if it is dirty. Step back and look at it with a strangers eyes and listen to your custumer base.

Have you noticed restaurants just don't survive well around here? Look at Cherry Street who has good food and low prices and a darling decor inside. Parker's has been here...like forever...and their prices are low and the food is good and it's clean. It's old, yes but old does not always mean dirty. I can't turn around in the bathroom but that's my own darned fault for being so fat but other than that, there isn't a thing wrong in there. Sure it could be fixed up but apparently you have no idea how much that costs. I watch things on Home and Garden TV and am shocked at something just like a bathroom remodel can be $20,000. And in certain neighborhoods, you would be remodeling yourself out of business and would never get a return on your improvements. Not to mention increased taxes and insurance. Look at the Time Out/Papa Dino's across the street. It couldn't make it. Leave Parker's alone, man. It's a village institution! And I love the owners and people who work there.

I absolutely love Parkers Pizza every time I come to Gtown I have to get some. If you don't think that the place is suitable to eat at than don't eat there. Who are you to get on here and try to put hard working ppl down. You open up a restuarant and run it like Roger said 14 hours a day and see when you have time to do things. The little hometown places are always the best places to eat. It will be a very sad day when they decide to close their doors. Ppl need to be a little bit more considerate when they put posts on here. I think you have a pretty great customer base since everytime I come into town its busy as can be. So keep up the good work Parkers!!!!

I don't think the suggestions on here about remodeling and making it look nicer were being inconsiderate and they were not stated rudely with the exception of the first one. People are just stateing the truth and giving suggestions or consider it feedback on the restraunt, company's ask for feedback to help them improve , they're called surveys. Roger should listen to the feedback if he wants his buisness to improve therefore allowing him to hire employees so that he can have a life outside the restraunt.

Wow you just made yourself look stupid. Last time I checked, "... that place is a dump! Gross.", isn't a recommendation & is being rude. All she was doing was standing up for Roger & all the hard work he has put into the restaurant. So as far as "STFU", take your own advice & if not, at least know what you're talking about.

Missed the part about "with the exception of the first one..". Regardless, it's a customer's opinion & isn't wrong. This isn't a post to talk shit about each other, it's a post about Parkers.

Ever run a restaurant? There is licensing, cost of food being used, cost of upkeep and Board of Health and other licensure, taxes, taxes, Workers' Comp and liability insurance, salaries, and did I say taxes? That man would probably have more money if he worked at a fast food restaurant. When you own that kind of a business, you don't usually get very rich....the business kind of owns YOU. When the doors are closed, there is still clean up and paper work and every other aggravation associated with it. Don't you think he knows it needs some improvement? What is he supposed to pay for it with? That's probably why it's for sale. If anyone thinks they can do a better job of fixing it up, then try it. Buy it from him! As for the help there, with the exception of one time, I have always had good service there.

You're right it isn't about calling names and talking $hit about anyone, it's simply a discussion about Parkers Pizza, So my question is why are you the one talking $hit and the one complaining about it ? read your posts ,enough said

I have been gone from G-town since 1995 and when I do come to visit, that is one of the only places I care to go to. Parkers Pizza is an icon for Georgetown. Nowhere else can you get those stomboli steaks!! Trust me....I have tried! LOL! Just something about the way Parkers does theirs. I LOVE PARKERS! Drippy greasy yummy pizza and all!!! LOVE IT!

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Gemini

You're in a warm-hearted and generous mood today, especially when dealing with loved ones and members of the family. You want to give them as much of your time as possible, and also to do anything else that will keep them happy. The only snag will come if you're trying to spread yourself too thin and you end up making promises that will be difficult, if not impossible, to keep. You may forget all about them but other people won't.
