Pries out at South Adams

Wow! It seems that Mr. Pries couldn't shake the infatuation he has for young, female, high school athletes. Too bad Frankfort administrators and school board didn't reveal why they didn't "renew his contract". Could have saved South Admas alot of headaches.

Mr. Pries is a "sick" man !!!! Although very "sly". As a parent of a daughter......Keep ALL girls away from him! He needs to be removed from education. He and his wife need counseling. I truely feel sorry for his children.
He has to be CAUGHT !

I am not sure that we have seen any sort of allegation or charges against Mr. Pries. I believe that it is you who is the "sick" person by bringing his family into this. His wife is a very loving and beautiful person and to fault her at this point is disgusting. You make me "sick". And the comment about the children...don't even go there. There is a time that Mr. Pries will be judged and you are NOT the person to do it. Do you have actual proof that anything happened at Frankfort or are you strictly going on hear-say? I believe that is called "Defamation of Character", which is something I think you actually lack here!!! When a corporation begins the hiring process, there are steps to take to be sure that there is nothing in the past that will prove to be detrimental to the hiring process. I think they went through those steps and if he in fact did do something at Frankfort, would it not be your beloved "Hot Dog" administrators that withheld information that was to this level??? You may want to think long and hard about your comments before you type them...

nothing happened in Frankfort or Berne for that matter. If you knew how evil the superintendent and principal were at South Adams you would know the real story. It is those two who should be ousted.

So evil that they have the Berne Police Dept. escort Mr. Pries to his office to get his belongings, then escort him out and tell him not to come back on school property? I doubt that a personality conflict warrants such treatment. Wonder if they analyzed his computer and checked his cell phone calls. That's probably where the problem was.

I think everyone should keep their mouth shut about things that are not even proven or confirmed. As i believe Frankfort and Berne are small towns and all this crap is is a bunch of small town politics that is all hear say for right now. As for the superintendant and principal... RETARTED... because they have ruined all of South Adams.. Mr Pries made everything possible the past couple years and then they come in thinking they're hot crap when in reality WE ALL HATE THEM... so really personality conflicts are completely possible and since Berne is a small town the cops have nothing better to do anyway so just keep your mouth shut and stop judging people bringing their family into things

If Mr. Pries has done what the people of Frankfort imply - Why was he not charged with anything? He is not guilty until it is proven. Where is the proof? Rumors can destroy a person carrer/life. Its time we know the Frankfort-South Adams facts. In any work place there are conflicts of personality, thats life, gut it up and move on. If the man is doing his job and there are no facts to warrant his dismissal - drop it. As far as the Berne Police being involved, I am sure that was just a formality.
I know my children don't understand what is going on. So what is it a proveable crime, reacting to rumors or conflict of personality?

WoW! This is an interesting sight! To all of those above who have called Mr. Pries a "sick man" and so forth, let me speak to you. Someday rumors will fly around about you. Accusations will be made that aren't true. It happens to everyone, especially in a small town. How will you feel then? Were you in the room when Mr. Pries committed his crime? No, I didn't think so. I also find it very interesting that you know his crime! NO ONE ELSE IN BERNE KNOWS. It makes me wonder if you're really from Frankfort or is it possible you are from Berne????

First of all, no one can judge Mike Pries, except God. No matter what he has or has not done....God will be the one he ultimately answers to. In the meantime, IF he needs help, then the christians of his community need to support him and get him the "help" he needs. IF not, he will need family and friends to help him work through all these accusations that are ruining his career - and possibly his family.

2nd - NOTHING IS MORE PRECIOUS THAN FAMILY --- every sin is forgivable....you just need to ask God, our Father, and those that are affected by it will respond.....no one else matters.

GOD LOVES EVERYONE - even you that are spreading rumors (which is a sin).......prayers will be sent to everyone involved.......may you never be judged until your final time has come..........

When the truth is revealed & the accusations and lies are exposed will the Berne Community and South Adams School Board have the courage to do the right thing and fire Cathy Egolf or will she be allowed to move on to another unsuspecting community and do damage to others as she has done here ???

I know the pries family,mikes,mom,dad,and family.VERY NICE PEOPLE!!!

Mike and his parents and family are very nice people.I think some people at south adams are out to get him.

My school, the parents, and the community love mike.. he is a great man with a great family, and obviously he wouldn't be able to have his job back if he did wrong, so maybe we need to be checking out our superintendent..let me tell you..she is not well liked right now thats forsure.

Okay....first of all, Mr. Pries' contract was not to be renewed (and he was made aware of this in Novemeber) due to his performance. He had placed on a performance improvement plan and couldn't abide by it, so he was told it would not be renewed....happens all the time with school corporations. But, instead of leaving it alone and getting a full 7 months jump start on finding a new job, he goes out and starts bad mouthing the super and the entire board. In retaliation, the board asked for specifics as to why they were ceasing to renew Mr. Pries' contract. That is when all of Mr. Pries' skeletons began to fall out of his closet....oh, and there are plenty more, trust me.
Was the school corp wrong for trying to dig up dirt on someone who was coming at them with loaded guns turning everyone in Berne against them? Probably, but as we all know...the truth will always come out and for Mr. Pries, it did.
Not only does he show signs of being a pedifile, he also shows signs of being an abusive husband. Let's see your charm work you out of that one, Mr. Pries!

What good is a school board when two of it's members abstain? And why didn't the board finish their fact finding before making a decision? What good was all of the statements from all those involved? It's hard to imagine how the South Adams school board reached their conclusion when they had testimonies from superintendents and school officials from four different schools that were not in Mr. Pries' favor.The superintendent's statement and the fact finding report will be public record. All you have to do is ask for them. I hope they will be published soon. It's ALL there in black and white. I just can't believe that you could allow this man back in contact with kids, especially young girls. It's obvious your school board has no spine and is easily influenced by those who did not have any knowledge of the "real" Mike Pries. I commend Cathy Egolf for her courage in trying to make sure the South Adams students are protected. She handled the matter with the utmost professionalism and determination to do an excellent job. South Adams should be proud to have Cathy as their superintendent. I've read all of these submissions and find some of them a joke. You see, I am a parent of one of the young ladies he was a little too "friendly" with. It makes me sick to think that your Christian town and school board members had the blinders pulled over their eyes and were influenced by all of those in your community. I hope this vote will not end the controversy and that someone else will summons up the courage and come forth with more information that we know is still out there. For those of you still involved with athletics at South Adams, be careful and watchful of Mike's ever jovial and charming handshaking personality.
