I actually live in deltona but I have to drive an hour to orlando for work ..see the point ..NO JOBS MAKING ANY MONEY IN DELTONA..what were you educated in the fine deltona schools ? How are 8 dollar an hour jobs going to help our local economy ? half the bizz are closed and the other half noone speaks english in . nothing pays any reasonable wages here ..8 - 15 bux an hour are joke wages . I made more than that when I was 16 (IN 1986) as an apprentice ..Whatever , enjoy the concrete trailer park Im abandoning mine to the rats ..

I live in Deltona and I am happy to see forward development. Same ethnicity as Orlando but we live at HALF the cost. Please stay in Orlando since its so great.

Nope I live here in this hovel called deltona ..and yeah ethnic diversity is really working great for orlando and deltona ..hahahahaha, yeah sure.so I have to travel an hour each way everyday to work for a retardedly low salary , more than the joke salaries around here, but still a joke ..If I knew florida was such a disgusting disgrace I would have never allowed my parents to retire here , nor would I have moved here to give them a hand ..I make less than a third of what I made in 1986 as an A auto tech , yet my col is almost the same as where I came from.and yeah , lets see , orlandos ethnic diversity ranked it as the 8Th most dangerous city in America . I was up at the parks last week and was listening to alot of people who refuse to come back to orlando because its disgusting once outside of the parks area. SWo defend it , enjoy it , if your happy living amongst these degenerates and transients God Bless you , as for me Id rather make money and have neighbors whos kids arent knocked up at 13 and know how to speak english , and also dont keep chicken in the yards

I left working for Mercedes Benz in NY @ 145 grand a year to help out my ailing parents and move to this disgusting hovel , and am lucky to find 35 a year here .. so Learn before you speak .9 to 15 an hour is starting wages in most other industrialized states . I did 450 a week cash when I was 16yo 23 years ago for changing oil and tires. Now as a master Mechanic that has forgotten more than you will ever learn in your lifetime I should be making more than that .What I spend on tools alone a month is more than what they pay me , oh yeah sorry , home depot and craftsmen dont make good tools , they make backyard mechanic garbage , snap-on and mac only . my tool box costs more than some of the houses here in deltona ..so if your gonna try and bash a profession you should have a modicum of knowledge on it .are you one of the many idiots I see driving here with cars that are so unsafe it scares me they are on the same roads as me. That was a very well thought out , intelligent response . I am floored , honestly ,seriously could it be anymore monosyllabic , did the geico cave man teach you that or the high quality central floriduh schools(I cant bash the rest of florida's schools for I have no true knowledge , just that deltona's are a joke ) teach you ? This is a tough call. On one hand, most of us moved out to Deltona to get away from the City. Unfotunately, if you want to make a decent wage you have to go into the City to work. Bringing decent paying industry to Deltona would also bring with is a lot of the development and traffic that we left Orlando to get away from.
On the flip side, Deltona has no viable infarstructure and no jobs that pay a decent living wage.
So, it's damned if you do - damned if you don't.
We all need to decide what we want for Deltona and use that decision to help us vote at the polls in 2010.
