Thats a shame. I wonder who she'll put out there next to kill one of us. lets hope she sticks to kids the next ten years, shes not fit to deal w/ anybody else. here we are with more than an 8% unemployment in this area and we waste our money on a half baked judge like VanHorn.

You apparently don't know much about Judge Van Horn, or what she has done for Franklin County for the past 10 years. She is strict, but fair, and is well-respected by those who work in the criminal justice system. Congratulations Judge Van Horn!

First of all, it is such a shame when uneducated people tarnish a good name. I think it is about time that the Judge Van Horn rumor train comes to a screeching halt. Instead of buying into all the crap that you heard from a friend of a friend who knew a guy that had an uncle who “was there when it happened,” try doing a little research on your own first and I think you will find an impeccable record of good service to our community.
Secondly, I have read some blogs regarding her “heavy fist” when it comes to drinking and driving. Are you serious?! How can anyone complain about that? You find me one person who can argue that drunk driving is not a bad thing, and I will call you and that person a complete idiot. Though she may be strict, she is also fair – the kind of qualities which good judges should possess. Who knows, maybe it’s these good qualities that have gained her the approval of her peers.(In case you did not catch it, there was a sarcastic undertone with that last statement)
My final thought is this… I have never quite understood why you naysayers on this website have never had the cajones to put your name next to your arguments. Is it possible that maybe you could grow a pair? Maybe you aren’t totally convinced that your arguments are based around facts...? As for me, I put my name on this as my personal stamp of approval and an extension of my gratitude for Judge Van Horn. Every experience I have ever had with her has led me to find that she is nothing more than as qualified, caring, and as classy as they come. I can say with absolute sincerity that I have not and will not ever have any problems associating my name with hers.
Congratulations Judge Van Horn! I know our community will be a better place with you at our service.

I am disappointed solely because she let the Penn State Mont Alto rapists off with a slap on the wrist and the attitude that "Boys will be boys". And yes, I DID vote.

Now that's funny. You call yourself 'Not Inbred' and spell it incorrectly. Or are you referring to baked goods ?

A good day in Franklin County. The majority have spoken.

However, it is bad, bad news for dumb hicks and gang banging thugs. The Honorable Judge Van Horn will put you right where you belong: In prison.

And judging from a few of the comments I've read here, there are a few dumb hicks who need to have their trip to prison expedited.

Yeah woopy out of a population of over 100,000 residents she got 13,000 votes. 90% were prolly her political friends and the others probably knew nothing about her.

I think it's a well settled fact that if someone would have been running against her she would of lost by a long shot

knock on every residents door in franklin and fulton with a petition to get her off the bench, my guess would be, it wouldn't take long. I've not heard one good thing about her other than her little scared followers.

Again, like I said... base your arguments on facts. This never happened... You find me the proof (which you will have to fabricate because there is none), and I will eat my words.
btw... the story about how she is strict on dui because her son was killed by a drunk driver is also just a rumor... she never had a son. Unless, of course, you can prove me otherwise...

I'm often amused when a bunch of dumb hicks are quick to start bad mouthing a successful, intelligent woman like Judge Van Horn. And not only bad mouth, but also spout off nonsense about her that isn't even true. Hilarious.

You dumb hicks need to put more effort into cleaning your mobile home and leave the important decisions like voting to the smart people.

The world is your oyster. There isn't anyone you're afraid to talk to or any situation you're afraid to place yourself in. The word 'extrovert' must have been coined just to describe you. You're the master of time at the moment, cutting through red tape and getting right to the heart of the matter. If you use the right words, you can make anyone see your point of view, even if they don't agree.
