I'm sure Sevierville is a much safer place now. That was great use of our tax dollars. Never mind the fact it's legal to buy beer. Legal to smoke cigarettes that cost all of us higher health ins. premiums. As long as we catch those darn drug dealers that's all that matters. Just think if these people remain free they could sell Oxy's to consenting adults. These people may take them home get high & have a good time. We can't allow that in America. In America what you put in your body is the governments business. Even your own urine is your employers business. Personally, I hope everyone of the people are found innocent. Nothing I would love better than seeing the Sevier county sheriffs dept be made fools of. Drugs should be legalized prohibition didn't work with alcohol & it's definitely not working with drugs.

Wow that was a very articulate opinionated post,Krystal. I can certainly tell from your post you're highly educated. You probably stayed up all night composing that post. So you're saying prohibition of drugs is working? Show us some statistics to back up your findings.

Sorry to disappoint you but I don't have a drug dealer. I just know that drug prohibition doesn't work. This country needs to stop using kids as an excuse to outlaw everything except going to church on Sundays. It's fashionable to be a safety Nazi these days. Look at the seat belt laws for example. Years ago kids could just get on a bike & go riding. Now days parents make them put on helmets & knee pads like they are going to war. What about prohibition of alcohol & cigarettes do you also support that? After all a kid could get a fake ID & buy both at the local 7-11. In fact it happens everyday so I guess the clerks are white trash just like the drug dealers huh ? If you are against cigarette & alcohol prohibition I'm betting it's because you drink & smoke. People only want to give up rights when it doesn't inconvenience them. It's not society's place to baby sit your children that's your job. Legal or illegal if kids want to experiment with drugs they will find a way to do it. And I don't recall anyone saying these people sold drugs to kids to begin with.

Thousands of chronic pain suffers have to suffer because this country's attitude towards prescription pain medications. Doctors are afraid to prescribe sufficient pain medications because they may lose their medical license. Kids shouldn't be using drugs I don't support that. But should these people have to continue to suffer because you can't keep your kids away from drugs? America is by no means the land of the free. If it was consenting adults would be allowed to choose their drug of choice. I guess you need the government to control what you do with your own body. But I'm a educated adult that doesn't need the government to tell me what I can & can't put in to my own body. Personally, I have more respect for the drug dealers than I do the DEA.

"A drug dealer got to him" "Young adults have died because of the drugdealers got them hooked" You make it sound like a drug dealer forced drugs down your sons throat. So none of that was your sons fault? That's what's wrong with this country now no one takes responsibility for their actions. Just pass the buck & blame someone else then get a law passed so it can't happen again. If your son got addicted to drugs it was your sons fault not the drug dealers fault. Drug dealers usually charge for drugs they don't give them away. So who paid for the drugs lady? Probably your son.

If someone close to me dies of a drug over dose I won't be blaming the drug dealer. I take responsibiliy for my actions. There was a time when you could buy opium from Sears by mailorder. The Harrison narcotic act was passed because of racism not drug addiction. It was feared that Chinese men where enslaving white women in opium dens in California. Drugs where outlawed not because some people got addicted but because of racism. Of course people like you believe anything the government tells them. I guess you need the government to do your thinking for you but I don't.

No twisting of history it's a fact. It was feared that Chinese men where enslaving white women in San Francisco opium dens. The Harrison narcotic act was passed out of paranoia & fear. That's such a stereotype all women that use drugs do not become prostitutes. If they do then it was there decision. Why are we Americans so determined to control everyone else's lives? That's especially true here in the south. It's no longer cool to live & let live. It's become fashionable to force the virtues of morality on others.
You can't legislate your agenda of so called morality it doesn't work. Do you really think it's not possible to buy drugs in Sevier county now because a few people where arrested? Prostitution like drugs should also be legalized. Look at Nevada where prostitution is legal in certain parts. The women are checked weekly for STD's & condoms are required. There has not been a single case of HIV in a legally licensed brothel.
But please go on with all your propaganda from Partnership from a drug free America & DARE. In your case the government is doing a great job with the mind control. Continue to believe everything the government tells you & let them do your thinking for you. God knows the politicans do a great job controlling their own morality. I know I would certainly trust them to tell me what's right & wrong lol !!!

Yes you are right, they should be allowed to continue dealing drugs so that more people become addicted and end up broke and selling their bodies just for a pill or better yet robbing you or killing you to buy more drugs and eventually dying from an overdose. You are so right, drugs are awesome...
