The Collard Festival was definitely a huge improvement from last year. However, it wasn't all the council members and the mayor who put in the majority. Yes, it was the volunteers - The Collard Festival Planning Committee. The largest planning committee Gaston had in awhile! Hats off to everyone....including council.

Now we have something to look forward to on the first weekend of November 2010!!!!

WE HAVE volunteered and WE HAVE applied for the position/s. We are also WAYYYYY more active and involved in our community than ANYONE in our Governing Authority

Let's look into raising taxes
Okay, since no one else is posting here. My family would like to see a park designed for our children, adults and elderly that are older than five.
Through establishing taxes in Gaston
We would also like to see a Community building or complex that is open to all organizations for planning, organizing, hosting, business meetings, parties, reunions, welcoming our soldiers home, emergency shelter (CERT), emergency kitchen, Town headquarters, home commings, dipatch for elderly assistance, helping our citizens with job searches, public classes........The list is nonstop for a facility of this nature.

You are trying to make everyone believe that you have done so much for the town. It seems that all you want to do is make us believe that you are the only person in Gaston that has done anything to improve or help the town. I always wonder about anyone that makes themself up to be so great. What happened to the GIC site? It turned into nothing but a political soap box.Anything the Town had on the site disappeared, all of the " vote for me , vote for me" garbage is still there. Makes me wonder what the real reason for the site is. If someone was truly interested in the Town the site would be a little more than for the good of the Town instead of so much "vote for me vote for me" garbage. Looks like someone is just pumping themself up as a bit more than they are.Yes you may be involved in a lot but is all of it good for OUR TOWN ?
