Parents need to be held accountable for leaving a loaded .22 where a kid could get it. Too bad it wasn't the parent that was hit, that would be more fitting. Idiot.

have 2 children mine are 19 and 14 i also have grandbabies and i now own a 380 ..that i have had for only 2 years ....so my thoughts are this too....where were the parents of these two babies and what kinda charges were brought on them ..or what kinda training and teaching will they recieve ...both childrens parents .. It is in situations like these where you find out the family is either black or they are white trash rednecks. Both are under educated.

This situation has absolutely nothing to do with Christ. It has to do with common sense and educating ignorant people about gun safety.

I had wondered that myself. From what I can find in several online newspapers, it happened on either August 4th or 5th. Those texts are just as bad as emails though. They circulate forever.

Talk about a lack of education. Other than the part about gun education (for everyone, not just those you consider ignorant) that has to be one of the most uneducated and racist comments I have read this year. I live in the midwest, and have plenty of "Redneck" friends. For the most part they are decent blue collar hard-working Americans. They may not be rocket scientists, but they're far from being idiots like you would have everyone believe. Did you ever stop and think that maybe the reason you constantly hear about white trash black and redneck violence, is because it's more controversial to report, and it gets a more heated response from the public. I have met plenty of so-called well-bred and well-raised people that had less class than the people I grew up with. Breeding, color of skin, and money, don't necessarily guarantee common sense or morals. Just take a look at how many executives they have been prosecuting for swindling hard-working people out of their life savings. You don't have to kill someone to destroy their life. And for the record, you don't normally refer to someone as a white trash redneck. They are 2 totally different insults, for 2 different types of people. Maybe you should consider getting a little education yourself. In the meantime, we will all pray that ignorance isn't contagious.

Get over it, I call it like I see it. There's nothing "goody goody" about it. Insinuating that only black people and white trash rednecks leave guns lying around is uneducated, and racist.
