Nearly 50 years ago, Joey Dee leaned into a microphone in a cramped New York City nightclub and sang the words that have taken him "round and round and up and down" from the city of Passaic ever since: "Well, they've got a new dance and it goes like this...." Yeah, the name of the dance is the Peppermint Twist.
