i lived in garfieldheights for 12 years. i'm tired of the mayor and city council. this city is becoming another east cleveland. the mayor keeps spending money on things we don't need why the deficit in the city budget keeps going up. foreclosures going up, property values going down, crime going up, taxes going up, roads falling apart, trouble in the schools, police officer charged with rape, what the hell is going on, why do people keep electing tom longo, it's time for a change. my name is bryan. i ran for state represenative for garfield heights, but lost big time to the same guy who has been there for 3 terms, is your lives better. no, is your city better? no, but we keep voting the same people in, why!. i am going to run for mayor. it's not to late to change the city back to a peaceful and safe city. I'm different from any person running for an office because i will answer any question, with a straight forward answer. we can turn around the city view dump, they call a shopping center, we can lower taxes on home owners, we can feel safe againg to walk the streets at night, we can be proud to live in this city again. another thing as a candidate, i never ask for monetary donations, i might ask for volunteers, but that's it. i have a plan to change this city, balance the budget, bring more police officers on, lowere taxes , and build a better community. if you would like to ask me a question or volunteer please forward you your questions to my e-mail glencer1974@yahoo.com i will answer them right away. thank you for reading

You are delusion. Classic case of the outsider thinking they can do it all with less when in reality, it is costing MORE these days to do LESS. Is that unfortunate? Yes, but it is also reality.

BTW, there is probably a reason you got drilled when you ran for State Representative.

Wow sinbad, you sound like a far left liberal, thinking you have to spend more or share the wealth. how about fisical restraint, trim the fat off the budget. the reason i lost because there are alot of misinformed people living in Cleveland. They just keep voting for the same people, who continue to bring down those places where they are re-elected. I know voting is a god given RIGHT. So why are so many of you wasting and voting wrong. It should not matter who you are. If you are elected and don't get the job done and fail the people that voted you there, then you should be replaced. That would include myself!!!!! But I am confident, because alot of people that are elected officials have lost something after getting elected. COMMON SENSE AND HAVING A CONSCIENCE!!!!!!! HAVE A NUCE DAY

I think that Council president Frank Wagner will be the next mayor because he cares and has already taken steps to help the community. Jump on the Wagner band Wagon or be left behind.

sarah, I hope your wrong. Wagner is just as wrong as longo. He's been around awhile. It's the mayor's and city council's fault. We need a fresh start. Eliminate all council and the Mayor.

To Bryan G. You want to be mayor, but I never heard of you. What would be different, you sound like a politician

Frank Wagner hasnt been on council for years so he was not part of all the things that got screwed up. He just got re elected in 2007 after everything went wrong.

I do not trust Longo. I have written him letters about a couple of things and he has called me to discuss them. Each time that he explained his position, it ended up that he was lying to me. I think that he is driving GH into the ground and it will soon be worse than Maple Hts which seems to be improving somewhat with their new mayor. Every time you hear anything in the news about Longo, it's negative. I'm not sure if I'm going to trust Wagner either. I think that I would prefer someone totally new as our mayor. And from what I heard years ago, Longo has two houses and he doesn't even live in GH any more. He just keeps a house here to show residency. I don't know if that's the case any more since I heard that a while back. I think it's time for new blood and get GH back on the track to recovery.

Sarah -- please stop with this "Get on the Frank Wagner" bandwagon.
He will NOT be elected Mayor. He would be taken somewhat seriously if he was not using his position as City Council President to grandstand. He has as much baggage as almost anyone else up there.

BryanG --

You can not be expected to be taken as a serious candidate for MAYOR OF A CITY!! Your spelling, grammar and sentence structure is just horrendous.

Not to mention those so-called "plans" of yours are nothing but hot air. Your "plans" consist of the typical loads of bullcrap that uneducated wannabes tell people what they want to hear.

The biggest pile of crap from you is the "lowering taxes on home owners." Right. And how would you do that exactly? And please don't tell us Bridgeview and CityView either.

You really do not want me to shoot your so-called "plans" full of holes, do you? It could be pretty embarrassing for you.

For someone who wants to be a Mayor, you are one of the least informed persons around. I can tell from your posts that you are not actively involved in anything in this city. I have no intention on running for anything in this city and I am more involved and knowledgeable about what's happening in this city than you are.

And by leaps and bounds, too! The only thing you're good at is running your mouth.

Go ahead and try to take me on like you do others on the other forum. You'll lose big time in the FACT BATTLE against me.

Idiot: When Frank ran for council president he claimed he would stop forclosures and lower crime. In the two years he has been president both crime and forclosures have gone up and he did nothing. He grandstands and calls in channel 19 whenever he sees an oppertunity to call attention to himself. He has been against virtually all of councils attempts to make changes. He is disliked by all of the council members and has done nothing to bring change to Garfield Hts. Maybe you will break your neck when your "bandwagon" runs into a ditch.

All I can tell you is that since Frank Wagner regained his council president seat he has gained some serious weight. Soon he will need two chairs. Looking at his wife and daughters, one can see that obesity runs in the family. I remember the wagners well, his sister was refered to as "Igor" and his brother Ray was an asshole.

More like I'd jump off the Valley View Bridge if that idiot dough boy becomes mayor. Good God I would rather see death that see the light of that idiot and his muppets that he has a ghouls.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aquarius

Someone is being bombastic and overbearing, and you don't like it. You aren't prepared to take their behavior lying down, but standing up to them is likely to result in a rip-roaring row. Well, it seems that the row is almost inevitable, and perhaps that's just as well because it won't do you any good to swallow your anger or tolerate this person's boorishness for much longer.
