Another case for idiot control. Don't let the idiot criminal have a gun and things like this won't happen.

Ric--dont you wish it was that easy....Like Gray said, the gun was illegal. I say if the guy lives, the FBI needs to go back to the range and work on their aim. I am very happy the only one shot was the idiot, and the officiers are able to go home to their families. Thank you for your efforts.

I agree--gun control won't stop this sort of thing. There's no such thing as "letting" an idiot/criminal have a gun. They'll get them even if guns are outlawed.

I agree on the fact the agents need to go back to the range. By them not being able to hit their target, the federal and local governments will now waste tens of thousands of dollars on this fool prosecuting and court appointed defense attorney. If they had better aim, all the government would be out is a $50 body bag, autopsy, and a little bit of crime-scene work.

Honestly guns no matter who you are, are very easy to get. Whether it's legal or not. But the cops aren't supposed to shoot and kill the person they are just supposed to injure the person. Also, they aren't going to be spending that much on anything because this guy already had a warrent out for his arrest. So it's pretty much they were just waiting to catch him. And when he goes to jail he's already going to have a bill for being in jail. They have to pay these things now. Along with the hospital bill more then likely.

Siren--If you are shooting at a cop, you deserve what happens to you. As I said before, if this idiot lives the cops need to go back to the range.

I knew this idiot you speak of very well. I met him when I was very young and have to say that he was a very loving and caring gentleman. Unfortunately, when peer pressure gets the best of you and something takes over your mind, you don't make the best decisions. Yes, he was wrong for the things that he did in life and is now paying for them and will continue paying for them if he survives. His friends and family would have never guessed that this would ever happen. He is loved by an immense amount of people. He's a son, a grandson, a brother, a father and has a ton of family and friends that are praying for his recovery. Everyone can sit there and joke about the body bag and about how agents should work on their aim, but until drugs overtake one of your closest friends or family members and they make bad decisions, you don't get to say what he deserves. Only God does. The action taken was understandable but shame on you for wishing death upon someone.

I am sorry for the pain that you and his family are dealing with--I really am. However, your friend chose his path and if he had killed an officer when he made another bad choice, the pain in that family would not be any different and they had done nothing. I f your friend survives I hope he can kick all his old habits and find peace.

I completely agree with you and I am so happy that no one lost their life that night. Any death is a tragedy and I thank you for understanding that. God bless you.

Anonymous is right. He is a loving and caring person. I, too, know this very very well. Drugs are what caused most of his problems. Some of you are too quick to judge one person when in fact you don't know the facts.

Yeah, is it the idiot police that outnumber this guy in the car by 30 to 1, or the idiot in the car that thought he had a chance.

If you trust cops then you are a bigger idiot than the guy that fought obviously overwhelming odds.

When was the last time a cop went toe-to-toe? He waits for the armored personnel backup before he tickets a teenage girl for going 2 miles over the spped limit. Ooo, my hero!

Quite the PR campaign the cops have. When was the last time a cop got se3nt to prison for any crime committed?

Why did he pull a gun on the police? What are the police to do...let this man shoot until his gun is empty and then go handcuff him??? Just think about it...

He is not a violent person. He is good, kind, caring and was frightened by the way they attacked him.

to Siren . Know your facts before you start talking about this. Police are not trained to injure they are trained to protect themselves. Just a little training for you. In Law Enforcement we call it Target Acquisition you aim for the chest and if that does not stop them then the head. If you are dumb enough to pull a gun on us then you are probably not going to live.

People need to quit making excuses for his behavior...

You are making it sound like he is a victim--HE MADE THE DECISION TO SHOOT AT A POLICE MAN....He is off the streets so our streets are a safer place.

My question to the people who know him is why didn't anyone one try to help him?? Again, I am sorry for the pain this has caused his family but......

This is the first item that I've seen that really makes sense. Stop blaming guns, stop blaming cops, stop feeling sorry for these idiots that live lifestyles that lead them down this path and for God's sakes, stop blaming everybody and everything else because you have a disfunctional individual that puts innocent people's lives at risk and you don't want to look in the mirror to realize this person was in your family or a friend and you didn't do enough to help them.

Snapper.... aww snapper. what gets me about people like you is how you talk about such a violent person and how they deserve to die. How nice it is to have this person off the streets oh its safer now yet here you are talking about murder or you wouldn't call it that you would call it justice. What makes this person so much different from you. All you are talking about is hate and how the police should have aimed better to take this mans life. Are you really so much better? Seems to me great minds think alike! Maybe we should only be happy that no one alse did get hurt and that hopefully this man can try and salvage what is left of his life. People like you are the reason people like him are around because you continue to resort to hate and harmful things or thoughts which just becomes a circle that slowly passes through everyone you encounter. We don't stop to think what happened to this person to become who they were. We only assume the worst about them never consider them. Would you ever stop and think if it was someone you knew and loved that maybe got into the wrong thing could it have been that circle of hate and violence that influenced him?Maybe you should take some time out to reconsider your thoughts on life or anyone alses!

I too know of this man and his family. It is tragic for all involved. Watch your children! This mans Father has been fighting the demon of crack for about 10yrs. now, around the age of 16. It seems that it took hold day one. It turned a good kid into someone unrecognizable. The father has spent yrs.and countless dollars trying to save him from himself and his addiction. Pray that it never happens to anyone you know or love.
