Regarding this information that was published on accusing people on the article without getting the right information is absolutely wrong. If something like this is going to be published I would recommend to do a full investigation before it is published. It is not fair for anyone in the article to be exposed to lies without any rights to defend themselves.

Since when has the press been under any duty to get the facts correct regarding a story before that story is published? Shooting from the hip (pun intended) is a journalistic tradition.
As for attorney Ricardo Torres II. If Torres, or any person in his office, did actually supply his client with contraband information contrary to Torres duty as an officer of the court, then Torres is nothing more than a gang member in a lawyer suit. California is fast becoming ungovernable with the adoption of South of the Border legal traditions.

Gee Norris - Since when are Mexican lawyers the only crooked lawyers? Racist much?

Yes Norris I think you should keep your racist comments to yourself. I think the majority of people would agree that Hispanic lawyers are the least racist. They have to go against racist people in the system and we know the race the majority of the legal system is. By the way to get the facts straight this story had nothing to do with any gang relations. Norris read the paper once again. Don't go based on the story to start making any unnessary opionions. You would probably be surprised of the lies behind it.

I think its crazy that the Da does not think that the events that happen to the co-defendants and the victim had nothing to do with the attorney supplying confidential information to his client. If you tell someone in jail that his co-defendants are supplying information that could convict him, what do you think will happen? This attorney should be dis-barred and I hope that something is done to continue the safety of the co-defendants and the victim.

I know the article doesnt talk about it but that doesnt mean that it isnt.

It's pretty sad to hear that an attorney who we are supposed to respect could be charged with such an act as to put two people in danger. Both these men are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, but it seems like justice is not on their side. That is not what this country is supposed to be about. How will we return our country and our people to respect the law and attorneys that respect the rights of others. Do they not abide by a code of ethics?

it is so obvious that this lawyer has not only made his client look more at fault, but his self as well!!! the two co-defendants that are innocent until proven are gulty are two young 18 year olds that have been exposed to more trauma then anyone i know over 40 years old!!! anyone in the right state of mind should realize that the documents that were given to ruben were illegal, and if you go back into the investegation you will understand that the two defendants that did cooperate with the detectives and followed through with everything were the ones that were almost killed in jail. throughout the past year i have seen no justice in this case. everytime i go to court the DA is so blind sighted and mis interprets almost everything!! stating lies and twisting the case into their own words is what they did. there is no legit evidence or witnesses that identified these co-defendants and they are already being charged with attemted murder and mayham! the documents that were in the possession of rizo were personal information about boligan and acosta. such as addresses, phone numbers, and his pictures! put yourself in the mother or someone that has to deal with the fact that their son or loved one is serving time for telling nothing but the truth and they are being punished in jail for that! god bless these boys that have been through more then anyone can fathom and hopefully all this can come to an end and these boys can come home to their families that miss them so much. this is all a miracle in disguise. these boys will find justice and when we go to trial the truth will come out and these boys that are innocent will come home. god bless <3

Diane: I think , concerning the D.A. is being, he does not want the case before him , to be derailed . He has the matter before him (the trial) then there is the breach of confidential information, which was leaked by Torres to Rizo who in-turn leaked it to Cano and friends in jail, which attacked Boligan and Acosta while Cano threaten Delgado which is under investigation and if true ! a criminal complaint will be filed against all involved . Everything rest with the results (finding's) of the investigation.

I find it very difficult to understand how such vital paperwork could be "invertantly" allowed to reach the hands of anyone, especially those involved in the crime. This is an outrage and Mr. Torres should be punished to the full extent of the law. He (Mr. Torres), has caused many involved in this case to suffer both emotionally and physically. The fact that Mr. Boligan had his throat slashed while in custody is probably due to the fact that information was leaked into the wrong hands. Mr. Torres needs to be disbarred from practicing law since he doesn't seem to fully understand the seriousness of his actions. Maybe he was absent from class or not listening when this lesson was taught in law school. This is the type of attorney our justice system can do without.

It is sad to say that a lawyer is truly a liar! I cant believe the D.A actually says that there was no connection invovled.Obviously there was a connection. If ther wasnt this would have never happen. God always reveals the truth in the end!

I agree, Mr Torres must be punished to the maximum. It is scary to allow a man like this to rome the streets and play attorney. He is just as guilty. Who does he think he is to play God!

Reply to "DNovatny" & "Vickie". Racist, huh! You should ask my Mexican National wife of 20+ years if I am a racist. Ask as well, my "mixed" Hispanic/Gringo/ All American daughter and her Hispanic husband if I am a racist. Ask my wife's Mexican born, now American citizen brother and my business partner, if I am a racist. They know me, you only think that you do. You both don't think very well. There is a world of difference between racism and "realism". Once you morons, out there in Moron land, stop voting for more morons like Villaraigosa to ignore the realities of the gangs, the gangs will be nothing but a bad memory. Until then, Los Angeles will be nothing but a Tijuana with better English and sanitation (for a while). Or do you like SoCal this way? Vato's! Racist, huh!
