Empty storefronts don't generate much tax money, either. Look t the economy and see that people are looking to thrift stores to save a buck. It;s also better for the environment to recycle. Shouldn't economic attrition be the deciding factor on this issue? It's not like a bunch of liquor stores opening and contributing to crime. What are they worried about, a plethera of last years fashions in public? Spend your time on more worthy projects, instead of figuring out how to bring another national chain to your downtown.
