Its so disorganized. Rules changing every 5 mins...I heard there was a huge scene with an umpire and the league let him stay to ump more games. Then there is some membership drive where you have to pay $1 to vote. A lot of the parents havent even been able to sign up cuz no one is there to do it. A lot of the parents are saying too many board members not doing their job. I dont really care about the board. All of that mess effects the teams and the kids.

rules changed at the drop of a hat if it serves on of the long-tenured managers or board members' interests.
come on over to LMBA, where people with integrity, who want to maintain fairness and honesty, step up to take positions on the board rather than piss and moan on blogs.
The current board of directors is the best the LMBA's ever had, and I've been around the league for 19 years.
hope to see you next season.

Until you clear out a few of the remaining oldtimers it won't get better. The Pres is suppose to have the league directors handle the divisions but you have some the power has gotten to theor head and think they know it all after all the years they volunteered. They feel they are owed something. Non resident on not allowed to be a part of the executive board. Goodbye. Maybe you won't be able to take a good coaches team next year like last. Once you remove these and the others that take free food from the snack bar the league can turn around. How much does the snack bar generate.

Ignorant mother of 3, the board is the same people that have been there year after year so mothing much has changed. I agree it is time next year to get these old board members and their you owe me attitude out. It takes more than 3 months to change what was installed refore Asron became pres. Run for the board, get out the old self serving and make a difference. What division are you in that is the problem? New snack bar management needed, new major director needed, new equipment director needed. Where do you start. How do you change the corruption and self serving that has gone on for years. Run for the board. Help Aaron.

I dont know about majors and equipment people. But the snack bar does need a change. They ran out of water and gatorades last week. The food has really gone down. Your lucky if its even open most nites.

Let me break down your comment lmll, it sounds like no not sounds like, you are talking and typing without any knowledge about who is on the board or what people do on the board.

First off you state that the board is the same people that have been there year after year and mothing (I think you ment nothing)much has changed.

Well if you knew what you were talking about, and it is obvious that you don't, there are 6 board members that are old board members, that have been on the board for 5 years or more.

5 board members that have been there for 2 years, and 6 to 7 of them that are first timers as board members.

I will agree with you to have people run for the board, but only if you have a back bone and you have thick skin.

Its not what division are you in, it is what division are your kids in, and now I am wondering what the same about you.

If you really knew anything about the league at all, there is a new snack bar management, it is under Aaron, and the snack bar does not stay open late like it use to with the old management, until all the games are done, it is open from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, is money being made for the league, ummm yes, but not as much as before, sales have to be down a couple of hundred dollars a night during the weekdays.

New major director needed? the major director is running the division better then ever before, he has been running it for 2 or 3 years I think, and he is not partial to any team, or manager like some of the directors in the past, and in other divisions, he is there at the games rutting for the kids that are playing, saying good play, nice hit among other things, I see him there every time I am there at the park, and he also goes to other fields as well, beside the major field, he goes by the little league green book, and has answered a lot of questions about rules that I have had, and other people have, he is very knowledgeable about the rules, I see and hear people asking him questions on rules all the time, if you have a question about a rule, and he doesn't know the information on the rule and can not find it, he finds it in the book, or he find out about it and gets back to you that same day before your child's game is over.

You can talk or type all that you want and try to make people think that you know what you are talking about, but you don't, it would be better if you were knowledgeable about things first before posting, and calling someone "Ignorant"

You seem to be missing the point that everyone involved are volunteers. This is not his "job" as you keep referring to it. I'm going to assume that this man has a real "job" and as such that is his first priority...much like everone else on the Board. Maybe he isn't putting forth the effort that you think he should...then GET INVOLVED. I spent many years on the LMLL Board...the kids were provided a well run program and we tried to be as fair as possible. Even with that, someone always complained. During my time I was the one tasked with making the hard decisions, the rules issues...but they weren't really hard, I simply opened the green book and read the rule. Still...people called me names and complained. My answer was always.."if you don't like it, join the board". People are just ridiculous...maybe they should ivent their own sport that allows 4 outs an inning and 12 players on the field. Rules are rules. You are like so many other people, quick to complain, but when Board elections come around...you are nowhere to be found. I worked a full time job, helped on the Board, coached 2-3 teams...for 10 years. So shut-up, get off your fat ass and get involved. Oh..and for Mr. LMBA...you're league is just a bunch of volunteers as well...same problems...people can only give so much and there are always complainers. This person will come to your league and pitch the same bitch. I was always good friends with the LMBA people...both leagues were run well and cooperated. Get involved...and stop bitching.

not the same without Dwight -- hard to find somebody who would put the same passion in as he did. At the end of the day, both will have thier faults. Just seems Pony has less issues at the moment.

To former volunteer-you make some great points. They are all volunteers. people do have lives outside of little league. But I also think if you dont have the time maybe 1 should not volunteer. I also think some people use it as an excuse when they do a half ass job.

The decision made now are being made by the same board that was in place when the last president was there. The Pres. is not a dictator and only can do so much if the others vote differently. They board members quitting are doing so because they lost the perks and you get winers when things start to get cleaned up.

By the way, the kids are having as much fun as they always have and nothing has changed at that level.

You also make some good points. You're right, people shouldn't volunteer if they don't have the time and I agree there are many that do a half ass job and use time constraints as an excuse. My point is only that people shouldn't complain so loud unless they are engaged in volunteering themselves. being on the Board isn't the only way either...Team Mom's, coaches, snack bar workers...they all make it work. Best advice I can give someone who is dissatisfied is to identify the thing that pisses them off the most and offer to do it for the league. Otherwise...sit back and enjoy or try a different league. To the other person commenting on Dwight...he was a very unique individual. I considered him a good friend and was deeply saddened to lose him. He was retired...it is difficult to find someone with that kind of time available. It's not likely, so everyone involved needs to do a little bit to help out. i have no idea who aaron is...but he was big enough to step up, that says something...maybe he just needs more help.
