I was born in the Wallace area in 1938 and lived there until I was 12. My dad, Ed Kingsley owned an International Emplement company there.. Trying to find out how the town has grown and if any of the people that lived there are still around.. Some names that I can remember are Elmores, I know my dad was good friends with Budge and Gail Elmore. I had friends named Betty Benson and Arvilla Lauen.. Trying to remember names from 55 years ago isn't to easy. If anyone remembers the Kingsleys, I would appreciate hearing from you.(be sure and put Kingsley in the subject of your email) rosysunshine@yahoo.com

I haven't been to Wallace in years and years...but I understood it had a terrible fire and is almost non-existent. Your father no doubt knew my grandfather, an International Harvester dealer in nearby Florence (Max Heintz) who died about 1942 or 43. He and Hubert Humphrey Sr. who lived in Wallace were close friends and were democrats in the South Dakota legislature together. The Humphreys later moved to Doland (sp?)
