How in the heck can the inside of an egg be contaminated with anything? Are the hens contaminated? I don't believe it. I shall continue eating my eggs as usual. The FDA must be under the control of Nancy Pelosi!!

One form of Salmonella infects the ovaries of hens and contaminates the eggs before the shells form.

A friend of mine sent the this email.

I heard a disturbing account of what is going on with this egg recall, which now is half a billion eggs according to Comcast and Drudge. I listened to the Danette Golden radio show on KHNC in Colorado and the host of the show claims that the chickens were genetically engineered and somehow the salmonella became hard wired into their DNA, so all the eggs contain salmonella. Her show will be repeated tomorrow and Sunday if anyone wants to hear it. Here's where you can see the schedule, Mountain Standard Time.

What does a major salmonella outbreak and related news have to do with an neo-ultraconservative talk radio station? This disease outbreak has nothing to do with a political agenda nor alarmist conservative diatribes.

Have you had your scrambled political eggs today???

Those people up in Iowa need to get to cleaning up the bird, "poop." Each one of these companies need to watch how they eggs are being processed. The part I agree with is the killing off of hens. I mean, nobody wants to be at home, sick as a dog, with this mess.

There is nothing political about it. That is where the information came from. You are looking for a political agenda in every post.

How do you explain over a half BILLION eggs with Salmonella?

Someone didn't wash their hands?

Johnny:
I was referring to source you quoted [with their political slants etcetera]. Five hundred million eggs with major salmonella infestations is a serious matter. There are various reasons for this happening and I sincerely hope the CDC, USDA, FDA, USPHS, WHO, and whomever else find the root causes ASAP. Also, food inspection practices in this country are becoming very lax or nonexistent in many areas of production. It's time to take immediate concise action to fix USDA broken food source/production inspection programs. There is no conscionable reason for an outbreak as this happening in the USA.

This problem is above and beyond any political slant or agenda media entities can give it! I've listened to the source{s} you quoted and without a doubt the political penchants are evident. That's just poor journalism and reporting!
