I think it is a great idea to inform people of the plight of the dogs. They are God's creatures too and deserve a good home. The shelter's work very hard and trying to place as many animals as possible. Sometimes an "In Your Face" Program wakes people up and teaches the importance of spaying and neutering so there are not so many unwanted pets. The dog's don't ask for anything, just love, a warm bed and clean food. Humans should at least give them that. I wish them a tremendous amount of luck.

This was an excellent story. First you have to understand how desperate the shelters are to save these animals. This approach is in your face, but honest. Then you have the guilt factor -- are we really doing these animals any favors if the solutions aren't realistic and long-term? Great story.

I think this is a great way to get people to see the result of not spaying or neutering your animal. I agree it is a way to help smaller shelters advertise the animals they have, and hopefully find them a forever home. All my dogs have come from shelters, I wouldn't do it any other way.

Who cares if someone feels guilty, look at the life that might me saved! I think all of the shelters should do this!

Yes, they are God's creatures that deserve a good home and treatment, which is why they shouldn't get adopted out due to guilt or pity; because once the "hipe" is over the tend to be neglegted, not getting the attention they NEED, being social animals, or the exercise they NEED. When they are adopted so quickly, they haven't researched to see if that animal is even possibly compadable with their home and life style. THAT I think is worse, for them to be abused.

I agree that animals should be posted that are on death row in hopes of them being rescued/adopted into a secure loving home. I do adopt dogs from rescue shelters (Great Danes) and to seeing how they respond to love instead of being mistreated is a great reward. I say shame on the people who have animals and do not make them a part of their family, after all they are just children in fur coats. But then again we tend to be a society that tosses our older generation and harms our younger generation. Shame on you.

Wish I would have thought of this. These animals need a voice now more than ever. Alot of people are just not aware of how many animals are sitting in shelters waiting for a home and then there time is up. It's reality!

I am proud of this website. We are all responsible for the fate of these dogs. We must ban together to stop abuse and neglect as well to ensure they are properly monitored so that unwanted animals are not brought into this world.

I think it's a great idea. I would take them all if I could. I already have 6 dogs. If people would just be responsible, get them fixed/neutered & not let them run the streets, it would solve a lot of this problem. Kudos to the person that came up with the idea.

I think this is wonderful!!!! I wish I could adopt them all but I don't have the funds to care for them at this point. It does make very me sad/emotional but it's the truth and I can't help but hurt for these poor souls. It's not their fault.

I'm in full agreement with trying to find these animals homes. If you have to make someone feel a little guilty, so be it. At least they have a good chance of ending up in a home. Better then being dead........

This seems a great way to help animals. I just wish the world would fix all the animals so we didnt have all those poor criters unwanted.

When you are free to do what you want, you do what you please. We not only dump our animals when they become inconvenient, we dump our human relationships too and we allow others to unduly influence us in these matters. But if we respect ourselves from the inside out then it follows that we will respect others and treat them with respect. Using emotional blackmail to get pets adopted may not be the right tool but it reminds us what happens to these pets when we abandon them. They must die to make room for the others flooding in after them.
Our human jails are full to bursting and so are our pet jails. Why? What failing in us as a nation has produced this phenomena? No excuses - we need to find solutions and then implement them. A nation is judged on how it treats its most vulnerable members.

I think it's GREAT! People need to stop buying there dogs and adopt them. I hear all the time " they do do put down puppies" I explain to these people that yes indeed puppies and grown dogs DIE everyday. PLEASE PEOPLE ADOPT- NOT SHOP for you best friend. No puppy mills, pet stores or breeders.... ADOPT!!

This is a wonderful idea! Believe me, if I was looking for another pet, I would go to this site to find one.
Not only does it give these animals perhaps a second chance, but it also puts the reality of what happens to many animals in our face. That is a good thing, because many of us want to pretend that the euthanasia does not happen, or it "won't happen to my pet".

I think this is a great site! There are down sides to everything, but getting these dogs out of a situation in which they will die is good. If it must be done with guilt, then so be it. I hope this web site hits enough people to really do what i'm sure it's intended to; make people realize that dogs are not disposable toys. If you treat them that way they will die. I think this web site is doing wonderful work for dogs with no silver lining in sight. It uses technology to reach people all over the country to say "Hey! what about us?" I think people should be made to look through this site before purchasing a puppy or breeding an animal. This is a huge problem in our country. I'm so glad that there are intelligent, caring, hardworking people that spend their days and nights giving these animals a voice. People that argue this site NEED to keep in mind that this is a desperate attempt to save a life, and maybe night in the most ideal way. Desperate times call for desperate measures. If the only other answer is death, then why not try this. Why not use guilt. I've taken all 3 of my wonderful dogs due feeling bad and it's the best choice i've ever made. They didn't die. They sleep in beds every night, eat clean food, run and pay, etc....What do we really have to lose by giving them a chance? Nothing.

I think this is a great website to try and save animals who are set to die due to reasons such as overcrowding. I do not think this website necessarily "guilts" people into rescuing an animal, it helps educate people on what really happens in shelters to the animals who are not adopted out in time. I think every animal deserves a loving home and there are too many people out there who give up on their pets for no good reason, who abuse their pets, who overbreed their pets, etc...which causes these poor animals to be stuck in a shelter waiting for a family to take them home and give them a good life

I think this is a great site. People need to know that animal abuse is far too common and needs to STOP!!! I would love to be able to help all the animals in the world if I could. We need to inform the public more about animal abuse!!!!

All shelters and municipal pounds should participate on this web site. It is the only way to make people aware of what pets are available and how desperate the situation is for these animals. Pets are helpless creatures stuck in human-created situations they don't deserve and many are afraid and alone. I wish I could help by adopting more dogs (I have 2 and 1 cat). Nothing against pure-bred dogs, but some of the best pets seem to be the mixed breeds you pick up for a small adoption fee, or even free (both of my mixed dogs were free as puppies). These animals deserve the chance in a loving, responsible home.

These animals are on death row due to human error. We're supposed to worry about the guilt that lies in someone over this horrible situation. This is an opportunity for these dogs to LIVE. Anyone that doesn't see it that way just needs to look a little harder.
