Pandey says she has learned from past mistakes

Full story: ThisWeek Community Newspapers

When Meagan Pandey, the lone Democrat seeking a seat on Hilliard City Council, questioned the ethics and integrity of Republican Stephanie Kunze during the June 22 council meeting, she knew it wouldn't be long before she would be the one in the spotlight.

Ms. Pandey has my vote... it's refreshing that someone takes responsibilities for their actions and moves forward in a positive way in life. Does Mr. Sciotto think his colleague Dan Nichter is also 'comical' because of his DUI's... oh I'm sorry...'loss of control'

LOL

How can you vote for Ms. Pandey when you appear to live in MI? Oh, that's right. You probably are an ACORN employee.

For some strange reason while touring the suburbs during the 2008 Presidential Election Cycle I seem to remember seeing Hilliard Democrats sign in the city of Columbus. Enough said right there.

I say let the voters decide if they want to elect another Democrat who forgot to pay those "oh so inconvenient taxes" that "only the little people pay". The current white house administration is riddled with them and this will only be one of many races which they'll loose in 2010.

The sadder tale being told for Ohio Democrats is it takes someone from "that financial disaster of the state up north" to defend a candidate in a suburban race.

What's even sadder yet is it's not even taken a full 2 yrs for Ohio voters to get tired of the current jerk in the statehouse who decided he didn't have the brains to write funding for our schools before outsourcing to those who've more than likely donated to his campaign.

DUIs aren't going to stop me for voting for someone who can do the job. But can someone please tell me why people with absolutely no qualifications are running for office? This young woman is in way over her head, but I won't be surprised if she gets elected. Same goes for the firefighter and teacher the Dems are putting on the school board ballot. And the Republicans have a school secretary? Seriously? I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Leave this stuff to the pros kids.

Why are so many people in Royal Oak, Michigan so interested in this race? No offence to our city but we are not exactly the political center of the world.

To Confused:
Did you seriously just say that a teacher is not qualified to run for school board? Seriously? Sweet Jesus. "Leave this stuff to the pros"? Are you kidding me. I am speechless over your absolute ignorance of politics and community organizing. However, I did get a good laugh out of you...so, thanks!

Hilliard Republican - Many Columbus addresses are actually Hilliard schools. Thanks for playing, though.

Proud:

It is with pride that I confess my ignorance of politics. I have always preferred reality and facts over perception and manipulation.

Teachers should stick to teaching. The board is the domain of business professionals versed in finance and economics. Teachers on the school board would be akin to Kroger putting cashiers on its board. It requires a highly specialized skill set, my friend.

Pandey should be embarassed about using the Hatch Act against Kunze. Did she even read it?
