You know its great and all that people are buys security systems and cameras but Gallia county made cut backs and by the time they arrive, ur shit is gone. My house was broken into in November and it took 2 hours for the cops to get there. Jimmy Spears did a half ass job and the investigator, which is a woman, acted as iff I had set it up. So go ahead and put your little blue signs up saying you have security, cause its a loss cause

Don't waste your time with security systems. The only thing you need is a couple of security cameras. Catch those theiving bastards red-handed. Don't just scare them off with a beeping alarm.

I knew a guy in Meigs county who had set up a bear trap inside his front door of his building and a few other really awesome traps for people who break into his home. My favorite was the shot gun with trip wire he had sat up. The man worked in demolition in Vietnam and was a genius.
Anyone who broke into his house would be maimed and not killed. I know whatever their first injury was would not be the most suffering they would go through.
When I lived in Ohio I had cameras in my home. Personally I always said if you come into my home the police won't be called until several hours after I am done exacting private justice on you. You won't mind much though because when they come to pick you up you will be going in a black rubber bag.

Had a security system put in last week, started locking any and everything all the time (even though it's been a real hassle when you're outside working. I have 2 rottweilers that are fenced in around the house and garage, have cameras instilled everywhere(and can watch them from my computer or phone), my wife and I both took the conceal carry weapon class and do. In the last 2 years, we had 2 fourwheelers stolen (never recovered) and the damage they did to our building, a new john deere ez trak mower, broke into the house (ransacked it and did lots of damage) and stole playstation 3, xbox 360, blue ray disc player, 4 flat screen t.v.'s ,(left the older one that wasn't totally flat), 3 macbooks, and most of my wives jewelry (anything that was gold or diamonds). I make no bones about it any more, if you come on my property to steal something chances are you made a huge mistake. My wife and I have worked hard, like everyone else who is being hit, and it was unreal the feelings you have when you are robbed. It was bad when they took the things from the buildings but when they came in the house my wife had a really hard time, I hope none of you have to go through being robbed, but I will suggest to everyone lock it down and get some security, I think it's only going to get worse.
yes it is terrible to think that someone has been in your house, pilfering thru everything, handling your clothing in drawers and touching everything. you feel very violated. i would compare it to (god forbid) being raped. People just please be careful in the daytime as well. They know people are home at nights and thats why they're doing lots of looting in the daytime. They deserve whatever they get. Peace to all.

I had a bunch of jewelry stolen from me and it was taken to 4 different local business's and I had to buy back my own stuff from three of them even with the police report and descriptions and the person name who took it there. If I bought stolen property I would get charged with receiving stolen property why are these places not???

It helps to let neighbors know what's up, even if they live down the road and not next door. Had I known one had been broken into at least once I would have been more watchful but several thefts had went on and it took another break in before word got out and everyone started comparing notes.

Being aware helps too. Summer is here so plenty of room to sit outside with a beer and lazily lurk and keep an eye on your hood.

I had a window open one night a few summers ago when the unmistakable odor of dip lingered in. Not sure how far that carries but I bet that was one right there. Creeping outside looking in and shit.

Do security cameras with motion sensors that send an alert to your smart phone and also an alarm system! And if you can a German shepherd, pittbull, or any large potentially aggressive dog will work and only allow immediate family around this dog so they will see everyone else as a threat to their territory. Even put the dog up when friends are around. If you can afford one of the large heavy duty safes from Tractoer supply get one and put all your guns, knives, and real jewelry in it; also but not least metal security bars over the window and motion lights at any door. Any security you do to your home also turn it into your insurance agent bc some will decrease your monthly pay!!!!

I also really like the bear trap idea!!! ;)

I have a similar system :) it's a motion detector, and also has a silencer. Whoever breaks in may not even know it's going off! It's been tested, it def works lol the city police get their fast.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Virgo

Keep a pinch of salt handy today because not everything you hear will be the gospel truth. Someone might have manipulated the facts to make them sound more acceptable, or they may have got carried away and forgotten to tell you something rather vital. Try to keep misunderstandings to a minimum by being as straightforward and honest as possible, and by not simply assuming that people know what you're talking about and therefore not bothering to explain properly.
