burger king

has anyone heard anything about a burger king going in by Kroger?

I have heard a Burger King and a Petco might be going in by Kroger, I don't know for sure, but I love a whopper anyday-LOL!! I have also heard rumor of a Dairyqueen coming in on the corner near Walgreens-yummy!!

They pulled out.

I hate that! I was looking forward to it.

They need a Target, Chick fil A and a Malco.

Oh and a Chili's

We do need a Burger King, love them whoppers! We also need a Fried Chicken with drive through that is clean, one that does not score 70 on their Health Inspections. The KFC is dirty, I don't eat there, it is as if they have not heard of soap and water, when you mix raw foods-as found in tacos etc in the same area you are handling raw chicken, someone is going to get sick or die.

Really Oakland shouldn't allow anything else to come because some ex Shelby county person will just bitch about it and blame the Mayor that our town is too crowded!

you are so correct! All they do is complain complain and gripe about everything.

This town needs a CLEAN UP CREW! starting with trashing the current Officials Office and then head over to the Tacobell/KFC! so new yet.... so dirty!!!
I want to be proud of Oakland but, impossible with its current standings. It is OK to be out in the country but...heaven sakes!!!! when entering Oakland it is like entering another planet!!!! And yet people want to move hear, don't the people of the town want nice store fronts, restaurants ETC...

Lets show our GOOD and INTELLIGENT side Oakland residents and chose better Officials.

PS. Lets rid highway 64 of all the paper signs, that's a start!!!

Right on! The KFC is a slime pit. Now for those that do not like anyone to complain about filth, continue to eat there, and over at mullins's bbqs. The don't mind filth on 64, but god forbid someone goes 46 in a45.

Well all you smart people said you would go to memphis, so get to steppin. If I were Mullins, I would still work my tail off and get everything i could in Oakland. If it weren't for mullins Oakland would still be a 2lane dirt road town.

Higher Prices for us all well I just save money travel to Wally World and buy same thing for less.

I find funny how every one enjoys paying way to much for things in this town when much cheaper got to real Memphis.

I would prefer Oakland stay Oakland. We've seen what growth and expansion have done to areas like Cordova and Hickory Hill. My husband and I moved to get away from Memphis and all of the crime. I would love to have a Target and Chilli's but not at the expense of the safety of our community. Memphis is 20 minutes away and I'd like to see it stay there.
