Hispanics rally in state for `dignity'

well i see all these tennessee people against illegal immigrants...well rember to vote... GOVERNOR PHILL BREDESEN passed a law which forced [the dept of safety] to issue driver license..so called permits...to all the mexacans...with no I.D.and threatened to fire any officer who did not comply...other states and congress forced him to make some changes..even still mexicans are coming in bus loads for tn.license...bredesen has done more to encourage cheap labor than any politician in history...rember when you vote...bredesen must go

numbers usa is also a good place on immigration...and also lets you know how your politicians are voteing..up to the minute news on immigration

what do they call the mexican american who oppose immigration...they were among the first to speak out...they watched there jobs go...while most americans were kissing the immigrants as fast as they got here...hell here you can still get a finders fee,,,for a good rock man or carpenter..i know a cont who needs 50 to go to new orleans...no americans need apply..you could get hurt on job and sue

The "march" organizers here in Lee County Florida just ran up a bill of well over $315,000.00 and refuse to pay it. They say "our" taxes pay for it. "They" don't pay taxes! Any time a bank, special event, county fair...has deputies work traffic or other details, they have to pay for those special services. There is overtime, equipment and other expenses. Come on Americans, email your politicians and demand OUR country back. I am a realtor, born and raised here (46 yrs) in southwest Florida. I have just listed my home for sale and have to leave "my" state. I hate the way south Florida has become, more like a getto than paradise and I have no desire to learn spanish which more and more employers are requiring. The birds are gone, the fish are gone, the bay scallops are gone...
I had "I speak English" printed on my business cards just to prove a point! Maybe I could start a trend :)

I like that. I am gonna tell my husband and have him put it on our business cards. So, they have gone to where you are and pretty much did what locusts do. They have started here already.

Perhaps "our" Florida Senator, Mel Martinez wants as many hispanics in this state as possible, then they could become legal, then they could vote, then Mel is president! God help us Florida crackers....Mel Martinez isn't!

I am a Hispanic born in the USA and my parents came here legally back in the 60's. I love this country and would die fighting to keep it free. At the same time the comments I read in here trouble me. It really reminds me of other countries in the world who in passed history used the same kind of tones of hate towards a certain race, ethnicity, or religion. Even immigrants legal and illigal that they thought were overtaking there country. Well the results were genocide, war and even terror towards those people. I hope and pray that this is not the direction this country is heading towards. Because I believe we are better than this as a nation and its a shame to go out and attack these people and there children even if we don't like seeing them in our towns and communities. Its not going to help the situation just make us into animals and spark a violent and turbulent society. They are here and I really do not see them disapearing like some of you would want. We basically have to figure out a way to stop the illegal flow by protecting our borders but at the same time realize that the millions that are here are probably here to stay. So we can be mad as hell about it but its not them you should take it out on. Imagine being a illegal aliens child and being called names or reading some of the things I read in here. That child is growing up in this nation whether we like it or not and our children will all pay for it in the future if we don't start living together as civilized people. Goodness we are all Gods people, STOP THE HATE!

I don't hate the people, I hate the actions they are taking and the stuff they are doing. I do hate bugs though, they are not people, they are little things that crawl around with 6 to 8 legs looking all gross and stuff. I do agree with you that we are all God's people, but at the same time the people have to accept God is theirs as well. As for being civilized, a lot of people find that hard to do. That word means different things to different people and/or nations. Who are we really to say what it civilized? We can be civil to one another, but then again when someone says hello in a different country they could be smacking someone across the head to say it. Now I am just rambling.

I just want to be a voice for those hispanics who are here legally. Don't stereotype us. We do more than just landscape, construction and pick fruit. And some of us do love this country and even fight for it. Lots of Hispanics are in Irap and have died for this country. So when you see a hispanic person don't make the mistake we are all illegals and want to change this countries language. I for one have a hard time speaking spanish because I was born and raised here. I just don't see whats the best solution to the illegal problems but I know our leaders failed us and now the people who are here illegally are about to pay for it if we loose our minds.

My comments are for the illegals! I don't know how writen or spoken comments could "hurt them", they won't bother to learn the language!!! They aren't able to read or understand what is being said to them!!
They are here "ILLEGALLY", that makes them "CRIMINALS". I for one, don't want to live across the street from a single family home where 4 families live and park 4 pick up trucks and two junk cars all over the place. They trashed Mexico, created the crime and now want to come here and trash the USA........go home!!! The next war will probably be here in this country over this non sense. Let's all feel sorry for the poor, mistreated, illegal immigrants, boo hoo. If the come to this country LEGALLY fine. I guess we have to deal with the trash and ghetto.
