Obama evil per Laborg wrote: <quoted text> Are you being a good sheep and praying for Obama to fail? I pray that every act that is against the Bible fails. Such as abortion, the continual teaching of evolution in our class rooms, same sex marriage, etc. Yes I pray that Obama fails at everything that he does that goes against the word of God. But I do pray for him, that God will give Obama His wisdom in our countries time of need. That the church will rise up and stop being babies that are fighting over spilled milk. Where is the church of God that should be standing up fighting for what is right in Gods eyes and not the majority? Where is the church that prays for the pastor instead of bashes them, have we not read ‘Touch not God’s anointed”?

Jeff's been gone from Gallatin almost 2 years now... and this board is still active.
Gotta love it.
Hope the Youth Conference at SBCWR did well!

Was at SBC yesterday. Laborg seems to be more in love with Christ's second coming than he is His first coming. Someone please tell me what is the big deal about end time prophecy. Lets address it when the text does, but what the heck is up with bringing it up every point of every sermon?

If you notice he is kinda moving his way up, so to speak. Has anyone noticed how dogmatic he is in his presentation of eschatolgy(study of last things)? He is vehemently opposed to calvinism and any form of doctrine that might require personal discernment on the part of the individual believer. His gospel is man-centered and needs to be examined closely by people who actually care about the prevasive easy-believism that is so common in most churches today. After he gets people to pray the prayer/believe on the Lord Jesus he implements behavior-modification principles to make sure they are secure in their "salvation". He does though continually say that if the prayer you prayed didn't change your life it didn't change where you're going. Well the more times he says that, eventually people begin to act like Christians on the outside and on the inside neglect to be a Christian. Also, his emotional services keep people coming back, but they become just as legalistic, self-righteous, and puffed up as he is. If you've had any interaction with him in person, you know that his un-loving preaching style carries on his everyday personality, especially if he doesn't like you. Well, I know that was alot of random information, but please comment on any part you feel is significant and true. Yep, it has started. God help us, please God change Jeff LaBorg; I can't even say: "Pastor"

Well, I know that was alot of random information, but please comment on any part you feel is significant and true. you are wrong, people keep coming back to SBC because that is where we can truly hear a word from God our Father. I have never in my life heard, felt or seen the prescence of God like I have at SBC. And I have been in church all my life. I have come closer to God in the past 2 1/2 years at SBC and I have learned more under Pastor Jeff's preaching & the teaching of God's word than I ever learned at any other church. Pastor Jeff is truly God centered, he keeps his eyes on Christ's return because that is going to happen sooner than we all think. Prophecy will come true. When people begin to be Christ centered in private then they will begin to be that in public (learned that under the preaching of Pastor Jeff over a year ago.) Calvinism is wrong and if you truly believe it then you really need to take a fresh look at those passages the speak of predestined. Honestly, if you prayed a prayer to accept Jesus Christ as your savior and it didn't change your life, then you really need to re-evaluate your salvation. The Holy Spirit will lead you in your walk if you truly believe in Jesus. Jesus's return is emminent, that's why Pastor Jeff keeps returning to it. We are running out of time, here people. If Pastor Jeff got on your toes, it's because you are outside God's will for your life. And to the person who said for God to please change Pastor Jeff, shame shame shame. Don't ever criticize God's anointed ones! And I pray that God never changes him, too! I wouldn't want a Pastor to lead our church that agrees wo compromise and doesn't take a stand on God's infallible, PERFECT word, the Bible. I pray for you, I really do. As for your little tidbit about he being rude and uncaring in person, I believe you are wrong , there as well. Many people who have met him say he is such a sweet person and a fun loving and caring person that I really cannot believe your statement. As far as contoversies in the church, I haven't seen or heard anything but that's none of yoru concern as you are obviously not a member at SBC. I hope you find comfort in Jesus, my friend, and I hope you find true salvation.
