Murder charges go to Sumner Grand Jury

The preliminary hearing of the first degree murder charges against Derek Williamson, 24, 411 Jack Porter Road, Lafayette was held before Sessions Judge Jim Hunter in Gallatin last Wednesday, July 16.

Friends killing one another over a woman. This is sad. Lots of things for which a man could lay his life down or take one for but this surely is'nt one of them.

Derek Randall Williamson should never be allowed to put anyone else life in danger. He has a history of violent behavior and he will hurt others given the opportunity. And the woman??? she needs to get some help before even thinking of dating again!

I believe it is the other way around from whatI have heard even from a prior girlfriend of his, Derek was stalked and mentally terrorized for months, all those boys standing outside knew he was coming, why did they not call the law and just stand out in the street what do you really think THEIR intentions were that night??? The truth from everyone would make a lot of sleepless nights go away and the families of both victims YES Both VICTIMS,(the girl is free, with a boob job, paid for house I heard and has had at least 4 men since this).... At least Derek owned up to what he done and pays for it everyday, what about the others standing out there waiting for a good fight knowing he carried a gun, they wanted to bushwack him and it backfired,,,, Let them step up and tell the truth as well as the DRAMA QUEEN, how is she free in all this??? At night in the middle of the road, yeah right not gonna do anything??? Knowing they are just as much at fault as Derek they stood in the middle of the street and stopped his car....YYYYY

the fact is derrick had a choice, unfortunately a very bad one that he decided to make. regardless of the others, gf, neighbors, friends, family, etc. he's the one that pulled the trigger, he's the one who decided to take someone elses life...the "harrassement accusations" he couldve walked away, left the gf if he was that "scared", he couldve got himself away from situtation, but instead of doing the lawful mature thing, he took it upon himself to leave a child fatherless, a family son and brotherless. so what if she has the house, or this so called boob job, right or wrong its none of ur business. the fact is derrick was trying to play God and it was wrong and now he's being rightfully punished. his family has money so they can hire more laywers if they feel the jury and judge was wrong...and go from there. no one can change the past, regardless.. he was found GUILTY and the truth DID prevail! Grady, his son, and family was and is the victim!!! and will be the ONLY victims in my eyes!
