Should the state should mandate immunizations for your children? Do you feel they are safe for all children. Do they cause other health issues like autism? Should the state also pay for them as well if they are requiring them?

I think yes shots should be mandated for the health and safety of our children. In the past 2 months children have gone over sea's and come back w/ whopping cough and mumps because those countries don't mandate or can't afford shots. I watched a program that said they did research on shots and autism they said the shots had nothing to do w/ it. I don't know if they do or not but seems to me if they did more kids would get autism especially since the shots now are the shots our parents and we got. When you decide to have children you take on their wants and needs no the government shouldn't have to pay for anybody's kids. The parents should pay for their health care, food, education, etc that's most of the problem w/ government today ppl except the government to pay for everything which is us the tax payers not the government.

Peruse thru the adverse reaction database before you decide that we should have zero say in what is injected into us or our children. vaccine injuries are real. http://vaers.hhs.gov

Excellent point and I agree. We had to pay for our childrens' vaccinations. I never thought someone else should foot the bill. With parenthood comes responsibility and it's a big one!

You said: ..."especially since the shots now are the shots our parents and we got"... From what I've learned vaccines today are NOT what used to be given. Far from it. Used to be a vaccine against a handful of health issues - diptheria, mumps, measles, tetanus. Today's vaccine covers an armload of health issues.I'll look this up and get back to you on it. I strongly feel it sometimes brings on autism. I don't rightly put too much confidence in these scientific researches. The conclusion made about autism could be and probably is for the benefit of 'Big Pharma' working in direct collusion with FDA. After all - if the vaccines were declared HARMFUL, think how much $millions$ the drug companies would then lose! Drug companies DON'T care about our health; they care about making MONEY only.

Look at all the horrible diseases we have essentially wiped out in this country through immunization. The small risk is nothing compared to what we could go back to if they are not given. Small Pox, Whooping Cough, Polio, etc. are horrible diseases, and we will see them in this country again if immunization is not done. I do not think government should pay for it - parents should pay for the children they choose to bring into this world.

Immunizations should NOT be required. It is much easier for people who do not have a child with autism to be so non-chalant about the fact that immunizations may very well be causing autims or increasing a child's chance of having autism. As a parent of a child with autism who noticed a huge difference in my child after his MMR shot, I am a firm believer that the shots ARE NOT for every child. I encourage all parents to do their own research before they make the decision to follow the 'standard' immunization schedule. One size does not fit all when it comes to immunizations.

used to be if you traveled south of the border you needed all kinds of shots before you went,,today south of the border is here,,just a matter of time before American children are exposed to one of many disease they have no immunity against,,it will be to Americans what small pox was to the Indians,,and no way will the few shots given school children protect them against all the disease coming across the boarder.in a couple more years they will need at least 50 shots, just to protect them from what will be common disease.
your child does not have to have them. You can elect not to have them.
if your child attends school yes they are mandatory,no way around it,,also the courts have ruled in several cases not getting the shots is child neglect.

Not sure if you ever watched this program but Penn & Teller have a program on Showtime called "Bull$hit" Each show covers a controversial subject and they give information on whether it's a bunch of bull... or not. One show was on vaccinations http://www.sho.com/site/ptbs/episodes.do... They were on the side of the medical professions and showed why they believe there is little or no evidence that they cause autism. Very interesting

After the immunizations that my son had which made him display autism symptoms to become prevalent. I have no faith in all the vaccinations. With the influx of people who have crossed the border they have also brought some of those diseases back to our country and I can indeed see the need for vaccinations.
