bingo bingo bingo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have recently visited the American Legion Post #170 in Ashville,AL were they are going strong and open 24/7. Unlike Jasper and Bessemer were they close on saturday night and some hours sunday. This first week I have been hearing of some big payouts and big crowds usually 275+ and sometimes till early mornings. So u know what this means for the local economy don't you?.....That's right BIG BUCKS******. Ashville gets $100 per machine per month. That's $40k to $50k per month and 480k - 600k first year. Local charities are going to average 15k - 20k per month.

And that is per charity too......

I am from alabama ,,,my mother has lived there for 91 yrs!!!!!! and started playing bingo when all u got was small prizes and has played for years for money (LIKE MANY OTHER OLDER PEOPLE)When the bingo machines came in she loves them and has played at the legion in ashville. ever since they started with cardboard cards
and when u go into a place with the machines LOOK AROUND!! for the most part is is older people looking for intertainment not to make a fortune. just like with the cardbord or paper cards or machines ur betting to win so what difference does it make its not the goverment money .It cost the governor more to go play a round golf than my mother will spend at any bingo (maybe we need to stop his golf or whatever he does)When some one starts giving me money then they can tell me how i can spend it.

Dear Citizens of Ashville and St.Clair County
I would like to thank the all the citizens of St.Clair County for the outstanding support of the City of Ashville, American Legion Post 170 and all Charities who have felt the impact of this effort to pour Tax Dollars and jobs into our community, whether you are for or against gaming of any kind, you must admit, it is heartbreaking to see 85 families income disappear, local businesses go up 25 to 26 percent in sales enjoy the windfall for only 10 days. For your info I will try to share what was lost which was only the beginning of such a great economic surge:$l0,000.00 donated to St.Clair co. School System--$10,000.00 to American Legion Post 170--$6500.00 to Whitney Fire and Rescue--$2480.00 to Ashville Fire and Rescue-$2480.00 to Ashville QB Club--Paid in excess of $40,000.00 in Salaries to local families who were laid-off not fired--gave st.clair co. rev. commisioner almost $3900.00 for the first four days of operation in bingo tax--City of Ashville recieved almost $13000.00 for 10 days --Shooting Star were living up to their commitment to Ashville and its citizens--this was just a start up number the best was yet to come-- I saw my vision crumble of new ballfields, sewer project to school, updated water, more police and firefighters, better wages for employees, and millions going to Education in St.Clair school SYSTEMS and other charities. The Fight is by No Means Over--Ashville will win this fight. Let us have our electronic bingo . The town of Ashville needs the jobs . The churches need to stop trying to get the rights of people to make their own decisions taken away . Back in the day we in the church use to pray for people not take their right to make decisions on their own away .
