This accident happened near my house, the second in about 2 weeks where a vehicle has gone off the road into a deep ditch. This is one of the MANY accidents that have happened on this road. How many more people have to die before something is done?

My daughter and husband were first to arrive on scene. While waiting for help cars were still flying up and down the road in between 2 cars that had stopped on either side of the road to help. My husband was out there when one car flew right down the middle of the road between the 2 stopped cars and flung up debris from the wreck, almost hitting him.

After responders arrived on scene cars continued to fly right up to where the police cars were stopped. The approaching cars then had to try and turn around in the dark on this skinny road with deep ditches on both sides. I called 911 back (for the third time, first to report it, second to ask them to hurry because of the cars continuing to fly) this third time I asked if it was possible to block off Talmo Rd at Mabery Rd (which was just a short distance from the crash) to alleviate people having to try to turn around. I was told there were several officers on scene and another state patrol on the way, but they all ended up at the scene with no one going down the road like I asked, so cars still had to turn around. This went on from 9:55PM until after 2AM.

I have called Hall Co Govt before for help and have never gotten a response. I am now considering having signs made for my property warning people that this is an accident area and also considering investing in an official proper roadblock myself to block the road and send people around when it happens again.

Can anyone please help or let me know where I can go for help?
