Lots of criminal activity, basketball hoops have no nets, broken down playground, lots of activity at night, drug activity around playground. People constantly haging in the streets. If they could fix the place up, get rid of all the nonsense & evict people that do this, it'd be a great place to live. Not to mention2 sex offenders live there.

That is a bunch of crap. There are a lot great people who lives there. I lived there for two years and never once felt unsafe. The two sex offenders who live there got in trouble with their wives when they were teenagers.

Face it the is always a negative image when you live in a mobile home park but this is a top notch place with a staff who takes a lot of time to have events and make everyone feel welcome.

You have to admit, regardless of whether or not you felt safe when you lived there, it is not only socially irresponsible to advertise yourself as a "family community" when you have a high concentration of criminals that live in that neighborhood. Not only is it socially irresponsible, but it could also be considered reckless. I'm not saying a family shouldn't choose to live there after researching the place on their own, but to run radio ads calling yourself a family community is wrong. Should anybody be hurt due to a criminal activity, the development and the property management would have a legal liability to pay damages to the vistim, because they misrepresented themselves as a community.
A great place

Let me explain something to you. You are assuming that because it is mobile home park, it is full of criminals. That is unfair and borderline racists.
I lived there for two years. NEVER did I feel unsafe to live there. I have three children.
I know for a fact they do a criminal background check on every person who buys or rents a home.
As I recall, criminal activity can happen in any place, I.E the Haile Rape. I know many people who live in Haile, their crime rate was comparable to Arredondo's.
I know good people who live in Arredondo and it is close great schools and wonderful park.
It complete ignorance to imply it is not a family community because it is a mobile home park.
Not to mention, all the resident events they have is geared for the kids. It is a great place.

If this community is as bad as you say then you need a community manager to do follow ups on all criminal activity and clean the community up, it also takes the residents help to cleanup a community and keep it clean. Everyone has to do their part if they want a nice, clean community. I know this it took me 1 year to cleanup a community that was had a lot of drugs but we did and now we are proud of that community. I love going into a rough community and making it shine.

Yes Communities. It was formally owned by Clayton Homes and was sold 1-11-2008.

There is nothing to clean up. It is a nice park and the manager has been there for four years.

I just moved in and I have not had any problems with drugs or bad people or feeling safe. I'm not paid to say this either. There is 1 single basketball hoop without a net... and the pool gets crowded on weekends, BUT.. other than THAT? Nobody can say ANYTHING honestly bad about this place.
People just want to say bad things about mobile home parks in general but they honestly haven't been here, those complaining in the above posts.
Yes! Communities has done a GREAT deal better than Clayton Estates and I'm happy to live here.
No community is going to be perfect, but for its location, it's not even in a bad section of town. There are NO people looking seedy or doing deals on the streets, there are TONS of children in here and it is a VERY family-oriented park.

Anyone who says differently is full of shit and I personally CHALLENGE them to come to me, I'm in lot 2200 and POINT OUT where the drug deals and bad unsafe things are at...where are the run-down trailers? There are older trailers and brand new ones, but NONE are RUN DOWN.

SO COME on and PROVE IT or shut up! Arrendondo Farms ROCKS and is TOTALLY family-safe!

I might have seemed a little harsh, but when people start making up things from nothing it makes me upset. I've had the best of times so far since I've moved in and I can even leave my bikes unlocked on the porch without them being stolen!
My point is, those who are complaining about my home community have not been there in any recent amount of time to be able to actually say anything with truth in it.
I stand by my challenge, come show me. I don't see it and I've been all through this park. There are plenty of decent people here and I've not felt unsafe at any time. Kids are safe to roam the streets without any fears and there is plenty of joy and merriment all-around!
The management is awesome and I wouldn't trade it for any other management company I've lived at before, bar none!

Yes I have to agree the ads that they run about the park is false. I been out here for ten yrs. When I first move out here it was one of nicest place you could live. Times has change the park is alittle run down and yes lots of drugs. Policeman is out here all the times. Yes the basketball goals need nets, tennis courts need to be open, and the pool needs to be clean on an regular basic. If the staff look more at the safetly of the people in the park than worry about money everything will be alright.

What lot are you in? The basketball goals have all been fixed, and I hardly ever see police out here, ever... not that they need any. Everyone takes care of themselves here.
Even if there is a drug dealing presense here, it's kept out of site from all the children really well and its not an up-front annoyance of any kind. IF its there its not noticeable. Really, I see 1 trailer thats really old down the street from me, 1. It's owned I'm guessing and brought-in. This place is NOT run-down. The only thing that is is the tennis court and I'm sure they're working on that.

I too am a tenant in Arredondo. Any place you live whether it be a apt.com plex to a mobile home park to even the rural areas crime is a issue. More so than other places. With the way things are right now in the economy law enforcement is being over challenged! I have only been here a short period of time -- I live close enough to the main office, playground area that I can see very clearly how much activity is around there. I am up all hours of the night and frequently look out and see if I do see anything that don't look right. Occasionally, weekends I see teenagers out and yes perhaps many would say there up to no good! However, I don't see graffity all over, I do see kids playing on the grounds daily, the pool does have a watchful staff to keep things safe. I say if some are concerned of how any community is run start a Neighborhood Watch Meetings weekly or monthly and help your block out and I guarantee when you group as a community the rif-raf will move on!! I feel safe here and want to continue as such. I do believe the new owners have started making alot of changes for the better. It takes time and effort from not only management but the people that live here as well to help and be the eyes and ears for them at times. And continue to keep this place moving forward in a more positive manner!!SO.....with that said perhaps someone will read this and take a stand to start a community watch.

Thanks for backing that up, Alias! I'd love to meet you. I'm in 2200, and I feel safe saying that here for some reason.

See you at the pool!
