North Carolina High School Football - Hoggard smashes Harnett Central

I just don't understand why Harnett Central High School has had what can be considered a "life time losing streak" since the football team has been losers since the school was built in the late 70's. The first graduating class was the Class of 1981. The football team absolutely stinks! This is probably due to the fact that the faculty and coaches stink worse. A combination of redneck kids and redneck coaches makes for a losing combination of loss after loss.

Did you ever consider that the Harnett Central team was playing alot of sophmores this year...hmmmm

I play football for Washington High School and i think we are going to smash J. H. Rose high school since we beat south central who beat Rose the week before.

Our running back has racked 1200 yds. and 14 TDs. so far.

seeing as harnett central is only 3-a and hoggard is 4-a, yall can kiss my tail, also our season before we played yall was 12-0, we still went 7-5 with a freshmen q.b. so shut up.

You are a freaking idiot you retard!! I live here and we have been to the state playoffs 4 of the last five years. Not to mention currently ranked 5th in the state of NC. I see u are from washington, you really have alot to cheer about, Loser!!!!

Also Carl...the idiot...the first class was 1978 because I graduated from there that year. Don't post on here if you can't back up your nonsense.

Unfortunatly part of what Carl said is true back in the 80s when I went to HCHS we did suck but that was then and this is now. we have won conference championship every year but one since we have been in the cape fear valley 3a. Tate and the rest keep up the good work.

i attend harnett central and there isnt a school id be prouder to be apart of, aside from our facaltiy and our athletics, the "rednecks" which happen to be my peers are not so bad, our football season has deffinently been one i will remeber, once agin i'll say i couldnt be more proud. i miss the football games already, and seeing how our boys kick ass 99.9% of the time. If you are so quick to judge our team you get on the field and put as much heart and soul into a game then maybe you'll understand.

Take a look at the basketball for this year 08/09 (girls). It could have something to do with the coaches that think they are great but aren't. Sometimes it's a good thing to step out of the box and take advice from someone that isn't playing the sport. They may see something the coach doesn't after coaching for so many years. Also, conditioning is great but you can't expect your kids to get better if that is all you do at practice. It's also STUPID to say that a team can't better themselves by scrimmaging in practice and learn from their mistakes at the time. And last but definitely not least, it could be that the girls are scared to death to make a mistake because they don't want to sit on the bench the rest of the game (while getting yelled at) or run suicides the next day for punishment. Let the kids play and actually ENJOY the sport. They need to let Coach Bostic coach the girls for a season and switch the coaches around. OOPS, sorry----that may be tooooo beneficial to the school----THEY MAY GET A WINNING TEAM!!!!
