Lucas candy....poisonous?

People say that Lucas candy has led in it.

no... not all. all the lucas candy's with led in them have been discontinued and are no longer in the us... anything u can buy here from like ice cream trucks or something with the lucas name on it is completely led free.

the original Lucas, the lime kind, was completely discontinued and no longer can be found.

It had a very high content of LEAD. not led.

You're making fun of people for misusing the word led/lead? Why don't you take a step back and go learn how to use your "yours." Your = possessive you're = you are

Well, incase anyone was still confused about the candy, the reason Lucas has discontinued some of their products is because they had lead (that's element Pb, atomic#82, the poisonous metal that can damage nervous connections (especially in young children) and cause blood and brain disorders) in them. Some of the lead was transfered from like machinery during the making of the candy and some of the candy wrappers contained lead in them which tainted the candy it covered. Anywho, you can't buy those anywhere anymore not even in Mexico, but don't worry like others before me said the Lucas candy from the ice cream man, the store, ect. is perfectly fine and safe 100% lead free.

Well I'm kind of worried because I ate this stuff all the time as a kid, I couldn't get enough of it. I bought nearly every day from the ice cream lady, it was riciculous. I'm 18 now, the contaminated Lucas was discontinued in 2005, so I had at least a solid 10 years of eating the stuff. I'm smart in my way I know that, but I do feel like something just doesnt click. I seem to have some symptoms, the memory problem, the headaches, I'm terribly uncoordinated, constantly bumping into doorframes and such though I'm obviously aware of them, and it's 12:55 am, I have a completely whacked sleep schedule, I don't know is it paranoia or do I have lead poisoning? Why am I here? I should see a doctor...

I was talking to somone yesterday that this had lead in it and I wasnt really sure if it did and now I know! I cant believe it! I LOVED this stuff, I would always get it! I dont feel dumb in any way, but I wish it was still around! oh well....
