And we have a parenting crisis in America. Parents want to be friends, parents think feeding, clothing, sheltering, and the occasional hug and kiss is enough, etc. It takes so much more to be a good parent. Sure, those things probably ensure that your kid won't be an axe murderer; but I think our goal should be way beyond that, right?! To produce the type of individual society needs takes work. Mom and dad, say NO from time to time! Monitor what they do. And if you don't start early, good luck.

1st; Please don't screw up Catalina by turning it into 'Molester Island'. We already have a penal system that will deal with that POS.

2nd; Parents take control and responsibility for your kid's safety and well being. I have a female child the same age as the victim and there is no way in Hell this could happen to her. It is so inappropriate for any teacher to have any contact through any social media other than a school monitored server where every key-stroke is recorded forever. Any teacher who has contact outside the school should be fired, PERIOD! Some teachers push for FaceBook! BS! Maybe we need to pass laws to stop this type of contact, but until then;PARENTS it is up to YOU!!! DO NOT BE LAZY when it comes to protecting your kids....just my two cents worth.

no...its going to be at La mirada high school and michelle green is going to get the position and they have had this planned for at least six years and Ive been telling people this was going to happen for the last three years. I am no longer afraid to put my name to these warnings. They've been positioning this for years. They shut me up once, I wont let it happen again. Please get this info out if you care about LMHS and its integrity

Any news on the teacher? Has he entered a plea or anything?

Mrs Seimans is a great principle that has the kids best interest at heart. From a source close to her, she is heartbroken that this happened. There is information that will come out about the teacher and issues he had admitted to at his bible study, go figure. what people do in there own home could be a mystery and how well do you really know somebody?

Please. If you had a clue, you'd know Siemens is about on the up and up as any admin in the district. If you do your job as a parent and your students do their job, you'll never have a problem with her. Hell, she even goes the extra mile for losers and their loser kids. But there's only so much she can do.

Some of you people suck as parents, and you are the last to know. But let me give you a hint...if your kid sucks in school, behavior, whatever...you suck. It's not the teacher's fault, it's not other kids' faults, it's not the principal's fault...it's YOU. Once you get that through your head, you may have a chance.

And there was nothing anyone could've done about this. The kid was a freak and obviously didn't put his hankering for young teens on his resume.

Remember, if Principal Seimans would have wanted to cover this up, she could have tried to ignored the victim's complaint. Instead she called the sheriff, the district and also notified school families. I also saw her in the school parking lot when the disruptive news vans showed up, and she helped students get out of their cars and get into school. Lets focus on who the real idiot is in all of this, the one going back to court in June.

The top 4 people at the district have retired or been replaced during that time. So, you are telling us that they passed down the "plan" to the new people in charge and they felt compelled to follow it? Wow, and the World Trade Center bombing was an inside job orchestrated by the US government.
I also doubt Kelly Mahaffey would put her name to anything seeing how she was arrested and convicted of stealing money to pay for her meth habit and used this forum to smear Mrs. Green to cover up her own illegal dealings as PTA president.

zzzzzzzzzzWhat world do you live in? I can reach my kids in a heart beat if needed in day and age and they can call me when they've just thrown up at school, etc......when a movie ends early...but I'm guessing your kid is not allowed to see movies with friends........

Out of curiosity, what's the big deal if Ms. Green does go to LMHS as a principal? Sports will be sports......I will probably still have to contact a vice principal for help so what will be the difference? The vapa program will still be what it is....big deal....

Teacher needs to be close to the students

Be a great role model

Be consistant with all students

Body language is huge with a teacher

Be firm

Do not cater to one student and not the other

The teacher is a calm example
