And you are a Bruin fan...in complete denial of the hundreds of thousands JW spent in order to get those NC's. No worries. It's all good, Mr. Double Standard. LOL!!!
By no means! please post a link of report in which JW or UCLA were found guilty of such accusations...until you do, you're just a troll...John McKay and John Wooden both enjoyed success during the same era, and even then USC was found guilty of having booster funnel money through Marv Goux, and USC was put on probation in the early 1970s, and UCLA? no wrong doing according to the NCAA, once again, prove it!!!

You can remind me all day about that asterisk ********** tainted title if you wish, because the truth behind that statement just reminds me that UCLA lost SIX MORE GAMES then USC did last year. LMAO
If that is the achievement you have to live by to be somewhat proud of your 2011 (B)ruins...my condolences!!! HaHa

Anyone who was truly informed about the case knew this back when it happened. This is not new information.

The blood test was never conclusive. It showed that it was possibly OJ, but definitely someone who was RELATED to him.

Jason Simpson is a chef who is known to brandish knives when he loses his temper. He's also a big, strong guy...something everyone knew it would have taken to commit the murders.

If you follow murder cases, such as the ones depicted on networks such as Discovery I.D., you'd know that there are a LOT of people motivated by greed. If someone felt someone (a former wife, perhaps) was milking their dad of his fortune,(what they considered to be their inheritance), you'd better believe some would be depraved enough to murder for it.

OJ, like many fathers would feel responsible and do what he could to take the fall, especially being as arrogant as he is and knowing he could hire a great defense team.

The simple fact is, no one knows for sure. But MANY idiots will act as if they were there and saw it happen.

Anyone who truly believes that God is the only One worthy of passing judgment would accept what the courts did and know in their heart that if he did it, he will answer to a higher Power...all in due time.

FIGHT ON!!

Really CPEM USC has the LARGEST southeast asia enrollment in the NATION and your bagging on UCLA for taking more out of state students? at least their US Citizens
Yes we do, we have the largest enrollment of international students of any university. Having worked in the financial aid office at USC, I think I am more than qualified to also state that each and every one of those students must demonstrate they have the ability to pay the full fare for their education. They receive ZERO financial aid from the university and ZERO financial aid from the US or state government. They pay the full amount.

Meanwhile, at UCLA what I was referring to was that UCLA's admission practices have changed the last few years where more out-of-state students are being admitted. This is being done because out-of-state students pay a tuition rate that is higher than in-state students. Out-of-state students are less subsidized by California residents, but still subsidized. Beyond that, it is really an accounting trick. UCLA, like most ethical/legitimate/not-for-pro fit universities, practices a "need-blind" admissions policy, where you are admitted based on your merits, not your ability to pay. The financial aid office, like USC's, practices a policy of meeting 100% of an eligible student's financial need. Financial need is determined using a simple formula:

COA (Cost of Attendance)
- EFC (Expected Family Contribution)
----------
= Financial Need

The fun part is determining the EFC. But that's another time, another place. Here's where the accounting trick comes in. "John" is a California resident recently admitted to UCLA. "Jerry" comes from New York, also admitted to UCLA. Both students have the same EFC. Here's how the numbers play out:

John
$32,000 COA (I'm guessing)
$16,000 EFC
==========
$16,000 Financial Need

That means he will receive $16,000 in need-based financial aid. This will consist of state and federal aid, as well as federally-subsidized loans. To keep it simple, let's say Cal-Grant (state) covers 10k, Pell Grant (federal) covers 1k, and Stafford Subsidized Loan (federal) covers 1k.(These are all general #s, actual numbers will be different.) That leaves 4k in unmet need. Whatever isn't covered by those sources, the school will provide in the form of a grant. For the most part, merit scholarships will reduce the university grant (counterintuitive, I know, but again, another place, another time).

Jerry
$54,000 COA (out-of-state students pay about 22k more)
$16,000 EFC
==========
$38,000 Financial need

So he will get $38,000 in financial aid. He gets zero in Cal-Grant, the same 1k in Pell Grant, and 3k in Stafford Loan. But in the end, he will have more unmet need (34k) than John, because they are charging him more than John. And guess who steps in to cover it? UCLA with the grant. And where does UCLA get the money to do this? Donations, tuition payments from others, and the state. And where does the state get the money? Our taxes.

Noticed a mistake above: in "John's" example, I said the Stafford Loan was about 1k, while in "Jerry's" example, I wrote it was 3k. The 3k is closer to the real amount. The numbers change slightly, but only go to further my point.

Keep in mind, I took a very simplistic approach to these two examples. It is far more complex than how I presented above, but the end story is the same. I didn't want to bore you all with the minutiae. Think of this as the "Reader's Digest" version.

@Trojan, that is the biggest crock of shyt I've ever heard of...one of the witnesses testified that O.J. Simpson purchased a long knife two days prior to the murder...furthermore why did OJ have laccerations Olin his hands? why did Nicole Simpson have his blood under her finger nails? why did OJ have $50,000 in cash and flight tickets to leave the country? why did OJ run away from police? why did OJ jump over the wall at his house 5 minutes after the murder and according to Kato he was packing a suit case and visibly distraught? with cuts on his hands? what a pucking moron you truly are and any jackasses who thinks OJ is innocent....the younger kids who weren't around to actually see the trial and are too young to remember? I can understand their ignorance, but you? you have ni excuse.

What a moron!! you and I were both given a mountainb of evidence from the prosecutors that would have brought 99.99999999999999% of the defendants to life in prison, of not for the 12 moron jurors who were brainwashed by Cochran and bought into the Race-card. You know as well as I do that, when the verdict was read, you were in shock! as well as 99.9999999999% of the people who saw the trial from the beginning to the end, I was enraged, and you were glad because the SCumbag was a trOJan. So bring God into this, the judgment I'm passing is completely justified in the eyes of God because ALL evidence was presented for one with even one-half of a brain to judge this OJ low life as a murderer...the fact that 12 star-struck morons gave him the innocent plea, does NOT make him innocent of the crime. If I was to be passing blind judgment, you could bring God and the Bible into this, however, that is NOT the case here, OJ is exempt from anyone crying wolf for one's judgment on that double murderer.

I wasn't in shock. Only a TRUE moron would be.

Situations such as that happen all of the time. Six Fullerton pigs beat a homeless man to death last July and only one is being charged with a serious crime.

People like me? We just shake our head in disgust, but we move on and accept what the courts have done. I can call those pigs murderers until the day I die. But the simple fact is they haven't been convicted of the crime and it just wouldn't be true. But hey, that's me. Unlike "some people", I prefer to make sense and not spew a bunch of bull.

I also know it's best left in God's hands now.

I know it wasn't, but still... typical... you blast my comment without even reading it.

Unfortunately, my opinion on the matter of UCLA and their recent admission practices didn't lend itself to be a short post. It needed to be explained. Suffice it to say that what the UCLA admin thinks is a great move financially, will probably wind up costing them (or the California taxpayer) more money. Either they are dumb in not recognizing the flaw in their logic, or they are brilliant in that they are selling out the well-qualified children of California taxpayers in order to get more money (either from the state or out-of-state students).
