good.. a couple more no good meth head criminals off the street.. I HATE PEOPLE WHO STEAL THINGS - I WORK HARD FOR THE THINGS I HAVE, YOU HAVE NOT RIGHT TO TAKE THEM!!!

I don't feel bad for them whatsoever. It's their fault and their families should blame the men for putting themselves in this position - that position being DEAD. Nobody killed these men but themselves.

I see a down side to this story.....

The down side was they were not driving a king cab pickup. They would have had room for 2 more buddies that way!!!!

How about printing all the "No Pursuit" cities in the state? People nowadays just don't know the rules. Not Fair.

They should have stopped. But since they didn't, well, that's too bad.

A "chase"?? There was NO chase. It sounds to me like all the Fridley detectives were doing was attempting to stop some felony suspects. The suspects, who were in control of the situation, decided to run from the attempt to stop them. When the suspects made the decision to flee, the detectives turned off their emergency equipment as the Fridley Police Department has a no chase policy. It seems to me that the suspects made poor choices. First in allegedly stealing the copper, and second, in fleeing from the detectives who were trying to stop them (NOT chase them). Of course the news media will have a field day in reporting more deaths as a result of police chases. Since this wasn't a chase, I would implore the newspapers and local television stations to get the facts straight before inaccurately reporting this as a police chase. I'm also sure there will be lawsuits filed as a result of this. Let me ask you this, what else should, or could, the Detectives done? They were attempting to stop felony suspects. These suspects made their own decision to run from the officers and not stop. The Detectives, following policy, turned off their emergency equipment and did not engage the suspects in a chase. The suspects continued to drive recklessly in what I can only assume would be an attempt to further distance themselves from the detectives. The responsibility here lies solely with the suspects and sounds as if the detectives did exactly what they should have done!
