Someone out there wrote: knows who did this. Please, please do the right thing and notify the police. What a tragedy, for this family who have contributed so much to their country, for our city and the human race. What has happened to us that we have animals like the driver of the vehicle living among us? while tragic, you turn towards the overly dramatic. "a family that has contributed so much? He led a good life and held a job, this is what is expected of all of us. And i certainly hope they catch the person that fled thier responsibility.

Alright wrote: <quoted text> A degree but no mention of a job though. I paid the taxes that subsidized your education and your kind is what I get for a return on my investment. That's the real problem in this country. Take, take, take and complain when everybody else gets a little something. From now on I am only hiring illegal immigrants to work for me just to spite you and all the ignorant f'ers on this forum. I'm also thinking about taking out ads in all the major newspapers from TJ to Pananma city saying Santa Cruz welcomes all immigrants legal or not. Believe me, they already know!

Your as evil as those who were earlier posting that Mr. Tailer as probably a drunken wino, before the facts came out. Wait for the facts! Forget your racist guesses

WOW, I hope they catch this person real quick! Has anyone noticed how often these hit and run accidents have been happening lately? It's a damn shame how often these losers continue to get behind the wheel and drive these death machines into innocent pedestrians.

Whatever demonstrates your incapability beyond your red neck and a...e, which in autopsy will be hard to tell apart Maybe they'll put the cork in it when they are able to tell the difference. This is sad because life is precious. The man who got hit did not realise that stop signs and stop lights are usually placed in places where someone already died from traffic. We all need to not have so much trust in crosswalks, lights and stop signs, but rather be very aware of all traffic and never think people will see you and will stop. The person that hit him should have stopped to help, if it was an accident.

I know you just wanted to complain and try to sterotype conservatives. What else can we expect from someone from Berkley. Don't worry yourself over my police report, aszhole. I look forward to the lineup.

pat wrote: <quoted text> Legal resident aliens? you guys sure use some weird vocabulary. If they are residents, they are not aliens. If they are residents, it implies they filled out the proper paperwork. so "legal resident aliens" is redundant and an oxymoron. And further more, the paleoindians who arrived here from siberia via beringia some 12-15k years ago at the latest who eventually became the indians displaced no one: they were the first humans to set foot on this soil. Not even any species of early man had been to the Americas, only **** sapien sapien. In California, the VAST majority of the paleoindians and indians were food foraging hunter gathers with no real concept of ownership of the land, they moved around alot. Horticulturalists and agriculturalists developed concepts of land ownership (or at least land use rights). So there. They are as close to native as you can be. My husband is a legal resident alien. We have been married 20+ years here in the US, however he did not denounce his citizenship to his native country. He cannot vote here or give blood because of living in Europe 20 years ago they are afraid he may have mad cow disease. Other than that, he is a resident, but not a US citizen.

Your father was a fine man, like mine, who respected our laws, worked hard with immense skill, understood the value of citizenship and took the time and trouble to become one here, as did my parents before me in the same way. We as a community are so sorry and shameful of what happened. We ask your forgiveness and maybe understanding, if possible. But more than anything and more than anyone else, please don't doubt for an instant this one truth...you are ALL welcome here. Your father, a very great American, has earned that for you. Well put, TG...

you people who keep calling this poor man an illegal immigrant don't seem to get it. If you apply to have your family come over, it means you are already a legal citizen. You need a legal resident to sponsor you, especially young children. Indians are a hard-working people, who (just like all of us) want nothing but the best for their children. And oh yeah, he was killed! Whatever happened to respect for the dead? Or a little human empathy? Especially in a hit and run?!!
