Such a tragedy, I hope they find the coward who fled the scene and punish him as harshly as the law allows.

My heart goes out to the Tailor family. I am so sorry for your loss and wish I could somehow do more than wish you comfort in this time but I will pray for you.

knows who did this. Please, please do the right thing and notify the police.

What a tragedy, for this family who have contributed so much to their country, for our city and the human race. What has happened to us that we have animals like the driver of the vehicle living among us?

the right thing to do is to review all cell phone records from the time of the incident and the hours following to find the killer.

You have to be the most heartless dumbass I've ever seen in these posts. What the hell does something that happened between 2 people in Australia have to do with this tragedy in Santa Cruz!? Karma? Im sure this man in Santa Cruz must be related to Punet Punet since they both came from India so the Gods are seeking revenge. Your an idiot.

To his family, I am so sorry, and please don't let the ignorant racists out there have any influence on your grief. There is enough of us who share your grief and loss to negate the fools who will try to turn this tragedy into a means of expressing their stupidity.

Sad story but one point made in the article got my attention:
"Tailor gained his citizenship and was hoping to bring his children and grandchildren to join him and the rest of his family"
When the Obama Administration speaks of leagalizing some 12 million illegal aliens in the USA realize that they also will want to bring their children and grandchildren to join them here. Are you ready for a USA with 500 million inhabitants?
How crude of you CorralitosTaxpayer, spoken like a true selfish conservative. I read this quote this morning "America has always had a problem with illegal aliens, just ask the Indians"
My deepest sympathies to the family of Harish.

The world has become full of cowards and cowardice, unfortunately they all tend to land in liberal, progressive and out of touch area such as Santa Cruz.

<quoted text>The Indians provided for themselves and did not live off of handouts.....many illigal aliens have children here in private hospitals at no cost to them as well as being provided with food stamps.
Why did the indians have to give the pilgrims a turkey ? Handout ?

Was that the equivalent of food stamps in those days ? Probably.

you may not like the message but it's a very true fact that the majority of immigrants illegal or otherwise intend to bring their relatives to the United States. When you consider the birth rates and extended family in the countries that are emigrating their citizens to this one you will have to consider what the damage will be to the environment, economy, and present living standards. It won't be pretty in fact what you will see are more mega cities like Los Angeles where traffic is a 24/7 event, more crime, more ethnic conflict, more despair and more images of the 3rd world that these people left behind. One needs to consider what America owes to it's native born citizens

This topic was started targetting indians.

The amaricans should worry about the muslims in the US not indians who help develop the country of emigration.

if you dont believe me, as any muslim in your country if 9/11 was a terrorist attack.

they will never admit it. you will hear the same crap like "it was an inside job" "it was a direct result of amarican aggression" "osama was not responsible"

none will admit it was a terrorist attack on amarican soil...... the same soil whose fruits they eat.

they live in your country, but their loyality lies elsewere.

if you like to be ignorant about this and point an india working in a cubicle, by all means do that if you want to distroy you country.

put a cork in it Jerry. We as a nation have the ability to rein in unchecked and undesirable immigration but we don't since the politicians running the show don't care about the wishes of the American people

The other day I was in a crosswalk with my kid and got hit by a redheaded guy driving a truck with a McCain for President bumper sticker. He drove away while I hollered at him to stop. Looks like we some cowardly conservatives around here also. Shut your pie hole you Republican puke!

To the family of Mr. Tailor, your loss is unimaginable and shocking. Your father was a fine man, like mine, who respected our laws, worked hard with immense skill, understood the value of citizenship and took the time and trouble to become one here, as did my parents before me in the same way.
We as a community are so sorry and shameful of what happened. We ask your forgiveness and maybe understanding, if possible.
But more than anything and more than anyone else, please don't doubt for an instant this one truth...you are ALL welcome here. Your father, a very great American, has earned that for you.

The point is that they will no longer be illegal aliens but legal resident aliens with the right of family reunification. The 12 million new legal residents will soon be 60 million as family members are legally brought over. My question is are we ready for 60 million Californians and 500 million Americans? By the way who did the "Indians" remove before establishing their tribal lands?

you're rather stupid aren't you. A native born citizen is different from a native American but I bet it's hard for someone like yourself who thinks being a fry cook at Burger King is the height of career success to differentiate that
