Review: Ace Animal Hospital

Ace Animal Hospital in Fremont on Mowry is full of inexperienced vets who have no idea what they are doing. They ordered several tests on my pet for a small case of diarrhea. There was essentially nothing wrong with him. They are very expensive and they made my pet go through unnecessary treatments and tests. I spent over $600 to get them better. Please beware of this place. They have no idea what they are doing.

The above review is one of our competitors, as they are getting distressed as we are getting good reviews on many sites.If you have guts give your true name and identity here and tell us when you brought your animal to our clinic?All the vets here have great experience in treating small animals.

this is by far the best veterinary hospital I have been to. The above post is tottally b***sh*t. The vets are full of confidence, experienced, they do not force any unnecessary tests on you, will explain you everything and then it all depend on you what you want to do. Go there and check your self, I think there first exam is still free. I recommend this place to every one.

they fixed my white cat. when i picked up my cat he was covered in black fur.they apparently hadn't cleaned the surgical area when they performed the surgery. if my cat would have had further complications i would be in jail right now. they are lucky. period. i would rather perform veterinary surgery myself than trust these unprofessional butchers.

Ace Animal Hospital in Fremont is a rip off. They advertise low exam fee and then they keep sticking it to you with high fees. I don't trust them at all. I couldn't get a straight answer from them. The doctors are very arrogant. I don't know why-they sure don't know what they are doing. I spent a lot of money for nothing. They did some big surgery for a small wound and charged me $800. My vet on central said all I needed was a minor wound treatment for $40. Arghh!!! Please take your pet to someone who has adequate experience. These guys do hit and trial methods. The girls up front had no clue about what the medicines were and how to give them.

Also note how the people at Ace Animal Hospital get defensive in there post above. Shame on Ace Animal Hospital.

I also didn't like Ace Animal Hospital in Fremont. Ace Animal Hospital is new but they are not ready to take proper care of pets. Except for being new, I don't think they had much to offer. I had the following problems with ACE:
1. They are seriously shortstaffed. The vets looked like zombies from working so many hours(15 hours!). I wasn't sure if the vet was listening to me. He kept rushing me and he ignored everything I told him.
2. Service was very poor to nonexistent. It was like going through a drive thru at a bad fast food restaurant.
3. There were too many hidden fees. On top of the exam, there were biohazard fees.
4. To make up for low checkup fees, they hit me with a bunch of unnecessary tests and drugs. The place is not very clean especially in the back cages.
5. Too new for me. I think a lot of work needs to be done for Ace to become a real vet clinic. They need to hire better vets who have more knowledge. For now, in my opinion Ace is a expensive vaccination clinic. I will go back to my regular vet.

To Manager - take this as valuable feedback, get rid of bad vets and staff and move on instead of attacking the messenger(s). I wouldn't want to leave my name on the Internet in fear of retalliation from you.

By the Way, Manager since you claim to have so many guts, why are you hiding behind the name "manager.". Why not identify yourself? The pot is calling the kettle black!

I agree with Jen. They are very inexperienced, and they are really beginning to sound like another American Animal Hospital. Just horrible. Not to mention unprofessional of them to call people out on their reviews, not the kind of vet I'd want to take my animals to.

I even find it funny that vet offices are competition, that's like doctors offices being in competition. Customers travel for good health care, so posting negatively is of no benefit to other local vet clinics.

I take my three dogs here and I find no truth in what those bad reviews are talking about. I thought the doctors were very competent and voluntarily gave our middle dog a general check up and the appointment was for our puppy! Everyone is very friendly and we have never been overcharged, If you want to experience overcharges go to VCA!

I wish I had known this place was a startup. They didn't have any medicines there and the place is severely understaffed. and the exam rooms were not clean. It smelled like urine odor. I also found the vet to lack knowledge. He didn't seem to know simple things. He kept wanting me to spend a bunch of tests and medicines. The staff also is not truthful. They told me someone would stay overnight with my dog when infact, no one was there. careful on reading there reviews on other review sites as they are paid sponsors so they suppress the bad reviews by paying "sponsor" fees. Yikes! I agree - this is an expensive shot clinic.

I think all of their "positive" reviews are fake!! There is too much detail and feeling in the negative reviews for them to be fakes. This place is a real scam!

I have 2 old dogs and they are well taken care by the Ace Animal hospital. I just switched my records from the Banfield,- overpriced place. Now I think I have found the right vet for them, one of them is diagnosed with the hypothyoidism over here, (which was obesity by the Banfield). I am fully satisfied by them. ,

I also feel Ace Animal Hospital is the wrong place to take your pets.
I agree on the following:
1. Vets lack knowledge
2. I feel like I'm at a used car salesman. The vets try to jump on you as soon as you get in there trying to sell you this and that. They make you feel guilty. Most vets have other staff help you. These guys hoard over you and keep wanting to do unnecessary procedures.
3. Staff is poorly trained.
4. This place is pricey. "The cheap is expensive.". They have a free checkup because nobody would go there if they had to pay for it..and then they keep doing unnecessary treatment by pulling your heart strings.
Go see a real vet who knows what they are doing. If you are hardup for money, go to the petco vaccine clinic.

Oh...and the positive reviews are probably from "Manager." I don't believe them at all.

Thank you Jeff!! I am glad someone else is seeing what I am seeing.

My review was positive and I am not the "manager". Peggy is my real name and my review and comments are mine and mine alone! Why all the hostility? Just speak your peace and don't use their services. Problem solved. Your continued need to post is more likely the "fakes" since real people don't need to repeat themselves over and over.
PS I will not be responding so don't bother to try to antagonize me with another challenge to my integrity.
