These poor woman! These emails should be public record anyways and the person who should be at fault has turned it all around to play the victim and has literally made a "federal case" out of something that should have been let go! The real issue needs to be getting rid of the Superintendent once and for all! Having board members that aren't forever indepted to him since he has done favors for them!

I very much agree with the ivparent. Randy Cadle should not be sending personal e-mails on the school computer.DO IT AT HOME!!! Amazing the playtime you have doing things on the pc that has nothing to do with the school. He needs to get out and stay out,and as far as this retire and rehire, that is just greed, how do you expect the younger people to ever get in the school system to work. Seems everyone is afraid of him, haha what a joke.He has caused alot of problems for these 2 women and their families. Do you sleep at night Cadle? I certainly hope not. What goes around..comes around!! Merry Christmas!!!

This is a sad story. I know both Mr. Cadle and Ms. Houston. Ms. Houston, though a nice person, has always been a "busy body" in involving herself in other's business. It was not her job to pass along this information and was in a position of trust with access to the school's computer systems. Mr. Cadle certainly should have been more cautious with his statement, but obviously made the comment "tongue in cheek" as I'm quite certain he had no intention of hitting any teachers. He was likely simply frustrated. Our freedom of speech gives us the right to think and say what we like. He did NOT say "I'm planning on killing teachers" which is a real threat and obviously does not fall under this freedom. As Ms. Houston plead guilty, I'm quite certain the prosecutor has limited the sentence to no jail time (she has a very small child) and likely the loss of her teaching license (which is an enormous loss as she really is a good teacher and has now thrown away a four year college education). I'm sure all three have learned their lesson. To summarize my opinion: Mr. Cadle had the right to say what he wanted in a communication that was private (even while at work). Do those of you that say "he should be doing this at work" actually believe when he goes home he STOPS all work related to the school? I think NOT! As a salaried manager, I can tell you that work doesn't stop when you are at home. Ms. Houston certainly had no right to relay that info. Unfortunately they'll lose a good teacher due her own lack of focusing on HER job (and to the person who said Mr. Cadle wrote these at work.. what about the two women who intercepted these while AT WORK and forwarded them while AT WORK.)

Dear Knows those involved,
You may think you know what happened, but obviously you do not. You may want to go to the source to get your info instead of being a "busybody" yourself. This case is not as cut and dry as you would like to make it seem. Neither of these girls plead guilty to nor were they found guilty of sending that email. Check your facts!

Where are you getting your information? You say you know both Mr Cadle and Mrs Houston.

Mr Cadle is the busy body he has to know and run every employees business.

The Times Reporter should also get their story straight. They too can check into the Federal blog and see neither women were charged with sending that email.

Mr Cadle sent it and they can't prove anyone else did it.

He's the one who wrote it and what happened to him? He got a raise in pay. What is wrong with this system?

Mr Cadle has made the Teachers so afraid to even talk to each other and he says he's their friend? Friends and or Superintendent like him no one needs or wants.

I can't wait until all the Superintendent's skeltons come out of his closet and bite him in the a$$. I am pretty sure he has done many shady things, including sending employees to his relatives house on taxpayers dollars, there are several witnesses to this fact! This is a felony of "theft in office" and he could easily be convicted and never be able to hold a gov. job again, what goes around comes around! It is just a matter of time, he will get his!! You can only kiss the right peoples butts for so long!!

Mrs. Houston did not throw away anything. Mr. Cadle took it away. You have no idea what happened here. Also, she still has her degree. No one can ever take that away. Sorry I'm sure it would make you happy to know she lost everything. She has a wonderful family, husband, child, and friends. She doesn't need people like you or Cadle in her life. She's much better off

There is only one woman who worked at the school, not them.....there was only one email supposedly intercepted, not them......there was only one email supposedly forwarded, not them....get your facts straight before you come on here defending some guy who is clueless about computers and doesn't even know the true definition of hacking! Don't believe a word that man says. These woman are going in front of a judge for what they did, he will have to go in front of God someday for what he did. He is also scared to death of what these girls may know and tell about him, he runs away everytime he sees anyone involved, he knows he has done way worse!!

Why is reading email such big news? I can hardly believe this is all the TR has to print on the front page of the paper. And half of the facts in their articles isn't even correct. Who do they have writing these articles, monkeys??

Anywhere but Tuscarawas County this would be on the last page in small print, but when you have an idiot who feels like he was raped for people reading his emails he feels it has to be top news, I wish the taxpayers of the district would make him top news and go to the board and ask them to get rid of him for abusing taxpayers dollars by sending employees to his relatives house during school hours, having employees work on bond/levy material during school hours, eating out daily at so called "meetings" (more like gossip sessions) during school hours all on our tax dollars! If anyone wants a job at Indian Valley with no grief from the Superintendent ever make sure you have your relative run for board first, you are in! Want your child to be the best at sports, or make it for cheerleader, make sure you have a relative on the board, it is sad but that is just the way things are run in that district, fairness doesn't mean a thing! It is all on who you are and who you know! Manipulation tatics run high amoung board members and adminstrators! It crap like this that makes living in a big city much more appealing!!

I've been told that "he" is now saying he sent the tech coord to his step daughters on the tech coords lunch (trying to say it wasn't theft in office) He has an excuse for everything. I'd like the tech coord to get a chance to tell his side of the story.

What a fricken joke, the tech. coord. sure as heck would not give up his lunch for that guy!! How is that ethical making an employee do that sort of thing anyways!! I heard his assistant was with him also on one occasion, and I heard there was more than one time he had to go there! I heard one time he had to go there just to put ink in her printer (and yes it was the schools ink, and I highly doubt that he or his step-daughter paid for it!) The superintendent's full time job is covering his @ss, taxpayers are getting tired of paying for his @ss coverings too!! I heard he told the tech. coord. when he turned in his resignation that he may be joining him too, well he obviously found a way to get out of it. Wonder who he had to threaten and with what to cover his @ss for that one!! Let's see (this is things I have heard, which are prob. true, hmmm)one board member "remember I testified on your sons behalf for rape charges", another "remember we are using your companies insurance and also your wife works for the district", another "remember your wife works for the district, another "remember your son-in-law works for the district". There is still one ex-board member that is the puppet master still running the show that the superintendent still bends over backwards for!! I can't imagine any of the board members other than the new one getting re-elected, I hope the tech. coord. runs for board, which I heard that will probably happen, and then it is bye bye to mr. cover@ss!! I would just like to say I will sign a petition for Ted Harrison to run for board!! TED HARRISON FOR BOARD MEMBER!!

I really doubt it will be that bad, I mean I am sure they have bigger fish to monitor, really, reading emails don't pose a threat to me, I was always taught to not put anything in email I didn't want anyone else to see, I mean the person you send the email to can forward your email you wrote onto others, is that illegal too? Makes you wonder, what a crazy world we live in anymore, pretty soon there will be so many people on probation for reading emails, or downloading music or copying movies, it is just crazy, I think they need to focus on the more violent crimes. I think a lot of people think this whole thing was just ridiculous and such a waste of taxpayers money. I will just be glad when the other girls sentence is done on the 30th and we no longer have to hear about this nonsense. These girls need to remain strong and hold their heads up high, they are human and made a mistake and have more than paid their price with the inaccuracies from the media alone!

I just hope they can get their lives back to normal and not have limitations on who they can communicate with or where they can go. That's a long time to not be allowed to leave the state. I bet they just want their lives back.

It is probably not likely to have their lives fully back until their probation is over, they will probably have to get all traveling approved in advance and not be able to have any contact with anyone who has a felony unless it is approved also.

One of the standard conditions of supervision says - shall not associate with any person convicted of a felony unless granted permission to do so by the probation officer. So it sounds like it is up to the P.O., after googling I found what the monthly paper looks like they have to fill out and send in: http://www.ohsp.uscourts.gov/pdfs/prob8.pdf

You could struggle to display your feelings and emotions at the moment. Being so sensitive, the smallest things could hurt your feelings, but no one else is likely to realise since you retreat into your shell at these times. This will not be a conscious decision, and you'll feel frustrated at your inability to explain the hurt you suffer.
